GRIZ/Weber

It's terrible. THey are better than Weber. No doubt in my mind. But you gotta be able to close out games and the Griz can't.

Pathetic.... our in game execution is simply non existent.... there is no diversity to our play calling nor our offensive sets.... the talent is there

Which means they aren't better than Weber. FFS, this team is going to be lucky to slip into the BSC tourney if they keep this up.

Well dropped another close one. Up by 5 with seven to go and we cannot close em out. If this becomes the pattern for the rest of the bsc, we won't climb the ladder. Too many turnovers and poor shot selection. The brunt of the issue seems to be if AJ cannot generate easy buckets we franklystruggle to score. Mcgillis played well on the boards, but cannot throw the ball in the ocean.

Well, I don't think we can depend on Cherry every night to do what he did tonight. Qvale is the onlyother guarantee. To me that spells a lot more games like this.

Agreed on all points, PR.

And I also agree it might be time to sit McGillis more.

And I love the Griz guards, but they have GOT to stop penetration. Our Bigs are getting in early (and often) foul trouble when they try to help out against penetration. Hell the Griz were in zone and still let Weber split the zone and drive the lane far too often. You gotta stop ball.

could be more than in trouble..2 games at home (500?) then 4 road games?can u say 8-8/9-7? Disappointing to say the least..

Time to shake things up. Bench McGillis, ride Selvig and Qvale upfront. Penetrate with AJ and Cherry more.
It might work if cherry could shoot free throws. Another tough loss, we certainly could have won that one. Not looking good in conference play.

Another collapse down the stretch  Stauds had zero tonight. McGillis, rebounded well but shot poorly. This team is going to struggle to make the tournament. One thing for sure, Cherry needs to start. Tinks said (in the post-game show) that he thought the "team really grew up tonight" :? What?? :?

i'm not trying to start a mutiny but I think Tinks & Co. are pulling the same shit as the last couple years.... we can't keep being so predictable on offense!! the 3 man weave doesn't work!!!

I think I would like to see the following as starters: Cherry, AJ, Taylor (or Ward), Selvig, Qvale with Staudacher and Young as the first off the bench. Might seem like a bit of a Green crew aside from Q and AJ, but from what I have seen during games these are the guys I have the most confidence in.

I love McGillis' enthusiasm and hustle but he hasn't found his shot since he left OSU and it seems like he is a liability on the offensive end and commits a lot of stupid fouls.

Staudacher is fun to watch when he is on but teams know where he is going to be and it will be hard for him to light up our conference when he doesn't penetrate.

Look at me! I'm acting like I know what's going on! Ha ha!

I am disappointed

Cherry did do a good job with more minutes as Stauds had the a bad flu and Taylor a hurt hand.

Qvale and AJ needed to carry us.

The team that beat Oregon is "in there somewhere"...we will see them again

fyi the Ducks beat UW today.

That is really looking like a great win especially in the pit or whatever they call it. The ducks beat the cougars a couple days ago and they may be even better than the huskies.

Our offense is horrid! We are either launching 25 3's, or cramming it down inside with people all over the palce, or running the weave without a threat. The weave is stagnant, it works if you dont make sloppy perimeter passes and you actually set real screens. The teams we play got it figured out and are always over playing the perimiter passing lanes. WHY IN THE HELL CANT THE PLAYERS OR COACH MAKE THE PLAYERS MAKE A BACK DOOR CUT AND A GOOD PASS FOR A SCORE!!!!!!! Its always there when they over play our weave.

Well Montana fans your team played well for awile but when the refs made that call and fouled out Kyle Bullineger and that was such a bad call that it fired up the fans and team you were doomed. That areana was the loudest I have seen it in years.
