BE cannot be taking that big of a shot. we lost. that was being outcoached. they came out in a zone and we couldn't handle it. did not have a good set play and it's over.

I love the after the fact expert, pretty easy that way :dope:

You know what, I'm not getting paid six figures to draw crap up. Hell, I'd volunteer to step into that huddle and say 'ellis, if you take anything besides a layup i'm going to kill you'

BE could score at will on you. keep working on your resume, you are never going to make it as a coach

The entire girls team could score on me at will... I hardly see how that's relevent. Seriously, we have all these shooters and BE is takin the BIGGEST SHOT OF THE SEASON??? Honestly, you're drawing up something for ellis on that? I don't think so.

Missed opportunities and tough Weber D. Patten killed us in the second half didnt he? Ellis had a great game, way to go Brian.

we're missin layups now. fundamentals lost it. missed FTs, turnovers and poor defense

You are one of those people who think the Griz are going to make every play and the opposition is always less talented, quit drinking the kool aid.

Missed FTs and turnovers really don't have much to do with the other team or talent level. Just mental mistakes.

Sigh,

Well, if you can't shoot freethrows
or
Make three pointers
or
Play stifling defense

it could be a long night.

Ellis didn't take the biggest shot of the season. There were no biggest shots of the season in this game. Ellis had a great shooting game. Was that the only shot he missed tonight? Jezz, why say stupid stuff.

Ellis' biggest buckets we're on layups and drives... if anyone can tell me that bucket was from somewhere close i'll totally rescind what i said. That possession right there was the biggest of the season so far. It determined the game which [probably] determined the regular season champ.

You must be drunk! Take a look at points off turnovers in games, including this one. Also, 1/3 of all games are won/lost at the FT line. Is this your first year watching hoops???

Yeah, i'm assuming we got stomped in points off of TOs in this one. Maybe it was close bc WSU wasn't great either but we gave up far too many of them. So, tell me again how our missed free throws had anything to do w/ something WSU did..

Ellis hit a 3-pointer earlier in the game. Late in the game and behind, you don't have the luxury of waiting for the best shot by the best shooter. Again, don't say stupid stuff. You are completely wrong on this one.

Great, he hit a 3 pointer earlier in the game... And I don't think it is that hard to get the ball to a shooter on the perimeter when they're playing a ZONE! And you should always get it to a good shooter...How many times did the bulls not get it to Jordan for the game-winner? If anyone tries to compare Kerr/Paxson to Ellis they are completely retarded. You guys honestly think Ellis is a good shooting PG? I'm not bashing the guy, it's probably his only knock. He's great on D, manages the court, etc but he's just not a shooter.

not to worry, peoples. we won the past two bsc championships on the road, and we have the talent and the poise to do it again once strait is healthy and hasquet isn't shooting for two buckets--the one on the court and the one behind the bench. i don't care where the bsc championship game is played--the two-time defending big sky champs will be a formidable foe for anybody. i like our chances.

Well, Weber proved they're #1 tonight. I thought this would be a successful road trip if the Griz went 1-1 and they did just that. Now (after this stupid braket-buster) they've got two MUST WIN home games, if they put those two games away they'll be looking at a #2 seed and a bye. Thats a great thing to aim for.

Everything is still available to the Griz (except hosting, I believe) they need to get some more wins in the conference and then they'll be sitting with a strong seed in the tourney.

I dont want Ellis shooting either. It makes me cringe......he had a great game and he needs to stay within himself. Drive, dish and steal.

It sounds like I hate BE, i know that and I don't. He had the game of the life and felt hot, that's why he took the shot. I know. 17 points is a ton and we would not have been in the position we were in if he had not played as well as he did. HOWEVER, when the other team goes into a zone, you're probably going to have to take a perimeter shot and BE is just not your best perimeter shooter.

I like our chances as well and have total confidence we will end up go to the dance. However, being a student living in Missoula, i do care where the tourney is played seeing how it just cut the amount of remaining Griz games i get to attend from 5 to 3.

Best case scenairo being Weber getting knocked out in the first round so we could play the opponent on a nuetral court just like two years ago when we beat non other than WEBER to get into the dance!

Was the crowd much of a factor tonight?
