GRIZ/Weber State tournament thread

Does anyone know when they will put the Weber game up for On Demand on Big Sky TV? They have the rest of yesterday's tourney games available, but no UM-Weber.

The game video is now up on Big Sky TV on the video on demand section. :thumb:

First off Gregory did show his balls by draining those FT's at the end of regulation....but what was he showing 5 secs before that?? You guys got fortunate the way that ball bounced after the last possession was basically f****d up pretty badly by ( I hate to say this because he is my favorite Griz) Gregory. Congrats on the win....hope we get a crack at you again as we are the one team you haven't beaten this year.....

take care of business tonight and then we will see you tomorrow cupcake!

Everyone else is right...when Bradshaw forced up a crappy shot very early in the shot clock with 4 minutes to go in OT, with Gregory, Weisner, Bruenig, and Krslovic on the floor with him, it was great. I know that I want him to be the guy shooting the ball in crunch time. His 29% from 3 is pretty impressive. He was definitely the first option and should be because he made a shot...1 shot.

I give him props for the drive and make at the end, but he was the number 5 option and should not be the guy taking shots.

Carry on.

You are right, based on the personnel on the court, he is not the preferred option. However, Travis is coaching these guys right. He believes in all of them (as he should). If the opportunity is there to score and make things happen, you have to take the opportunity. I know when I coached, I had players who would turn down good opportunities. I'd tell them, if it is there, TAKE IT!!! What if the better scorers are not open, injured, and not able to be relied on? Others have to be expected to step up. You only fail if you don't take the opportunity. Granted, practice is when those things are hammered home. A coach has to find those opportunities for the support players. Give them enough opportunities and show enough confidence in them, chances are likely it will build their confidence.

As for Bradshaw, he has been pretty damn good and reliable the last 2 months of the season. He has stepped up since the loss of Edmonds. Yes, there were growing pains. The important part is, he made it through the transition, and the team is better because of it. Rather it be Bradshaw or any other player, it is not a good sign when you have tentative players on the court. It means, they are not confident. Bradshaw was a tentative offensive player until mid January. Since then, he has been taking the open shots, and taking the ball to the hole. I don't have a problem with him having taken that shot. His game is to the point where defenses have to account for him too. Before mid January, for the most part, defenses knew he was not a threat to score, but to distribute the ball, and defend.

Bradshaw has proven to me, he belongs here, and will continue to become a better player. It is nice to see him contribute. :thumb:

Bradshaw is an offensive liability

Offensive liability. Bradshaw came off bench to score 10 in the first half tonight, on 4-4 shooting, including two 3's. Bradshaw kept the Griz in the game in the first half. grizindabox is such an idiot. Nice basketball analysis by an idiot.

Dude has the game of his career, after what has been a less than stellar offensive season. I give him credit for his performance tonight, but hope they don't need him to score 10 points tomorrow.

Without his ten points tonight, there is no tomorrow night!

No one said Bradshaw had had a stellar offensive season. You said last night that he's an "offensive liability". You were wrong last night, and you were proven to be completely wrong tonight. Just be a man and admit that you were wrong.

Actually I was correct, even though he did hit the shot at the end...that 1 shot doesn't mean he wasn't a liability for the other 44 minutes of the game when he was on the floor.

He played 21 minutes, not 44 Debbie.

you probably should read it again because it does not say he played 44 minutes.

Have you been sampling some of super_eagle's meth? Thought you were more into Clamato and cutting. I guess you forgot that you were the one who said this?:

That's why I replied with the fact that he only played 21 minutes, not 44 like you claimed.

Oh and let me stop ya before you try this... "on the floor" certainly does imply playing time, not combined playing time with time spent on the bench.

Seriously, no one would say he spent 44 minutes on the floor to describe a player's playing time who played 21 minutes and had 23 on the bench. So don't try that man...that'd be a stretch even for you :P

Bradshaw was 1-2, no turnovers and was a plus 15 points during his time on the court. The next closest plus was Weisner with plus 6. The next was Breunig at plus 3. Gfeller was on 0-5 shooting. Bradshaw was plus 12 tonight. Next closest plus was Dunn at plus 6. "Offensive liability"--like I said, you are an idiot, grizindabox.

Getting the threads mixed here. Regarding NAU ...

Bradshaw had a great night. Coach put him in early, obviously has been gaining confidence in him. He is the coach, right? He ought to know?

It was another terrific game. The Griz have been playing their hearts out and getting deserved wins.

I do wish the folks that continually wreck the football threads would stay there. The basketball threads have always been a cut above, but tonight's gainsaying and stupidity on the NAU thread makes me, for one, participate far less. If you think basketball is a shadow of itself, or the Griz make dumb mistakes, or you just want the world to know you can type, keep it to yourself. Self gratification ought to be embarrassing when done in public.
