Tinks needs to empty the bench.

Point being...the Griz are not as great as everyone is making them out to be. They are an above average team, but not one that can win a game in the NCAA.
grizindabox said:Dexter, look a little closer at the road games. UM has won at Sac, ISU, MSU, Idaho, UCLA, and Fullerton...not exactly good teams. Then look at where they lost, Utah, Nevada, San Francisco, and UNC. There is nothing there that indicates they are a good road team. The UCLA win is the exception.

I disagree. There isn't a coach in America that wants to draw UM in the first round.

I did look at the road games. Sac State is 5-5 at home. Idaho State only has 2 losses at home and clobbered MSU at home. MSU is 8-1 at home (Only loss is to the Griz). Idaho is 12-9 over all in the WAC (Much higher rated conference than the Big Sky). UCLA is well.. UCLA, no explanation needed there. Fullerton is 6-2 at home.
There are no easy road wins... There's a reason that no other team in the Big Sky has even close to a winning record on the road. It's tough to win on the road.
This loss isn't the end of the world. I'm confident the Griz will play a hell of a lot better against NAU on Saturday.
Honestly my biggest concern right now is Cherry's ankle. When they had him going to the end of the bench at one of the timeouts it didn't look good.
not sure....but I hope they never forget this game...Weber has to feel very very good, 68-50....an embarrassment for the Griz program and Weber did this without their best player...suddenly, the future is not as bright as it once was....next year is going to be a good year for Weber....they made Qvale a non factor, and made Selvig look like a good high school level all position player...not sure where Tinks starts to address this blowout....back to square one....too much emphasis on getting into Q or Selvig, and too much passing..no one stepped up tonight, but Autry tried...ah, well, win some, lose a few...'68griz said:Score?
uh, having just witnessed one of the worst Griz performances in some time, I am thinking we are a bit premature on the Griz making the NCAA....next game will be telling...grizindabox said:EverettGriz said:grizindabox said:EverettGriz said:Everyone struggles on the road. Welcome to BSC basketball.

I disagree, there are many coaches that will not worry about Montana. The Griz are a team that struggle to score if you take the inside away. If Montana gets in and is a 14 or 15 seed, they will not put any fright into the 2 or 3 they face.
