All in all, though, not a bad effort. They hung with the 11th ranked team for most of the game on the road.
 
Well, the cougs rarely turn it over. And the Griz only have 4 in the 2nd half. Against WSU's tough defense, I'm not disappointed in that.

yikes. that one was getting a little too close for comfort. honestly, most Coug fans hate playing in Spokane. it doesn't seem to treat us well. definitely not much of a home court advantage if that's what most fans think. it's not the town... mostly the arena. it's weird.

again, it was turning out to be one of those 3-point frenzies. it was getting me worried. some teams just get hot with em once in a while. Cougs certainly didn't tonight. not for a team that led the PAC-10 in that category most of last year. is UM normally good with the 3?

oh man i hope nobody loses to MVSU, lol. good luck the rest of the way!

Thanks WGF. The Cougs are tough. I saw them destroy Eastern. I was hoping the Griz could be a little tougher down the stretch, but there's no shame in losing to the Cougs.

Actually, #9 both in the AP Top 25 and the ESPN/USA Today Poll. Gonzaga @ #14 in both.
 
kind of a bad weekend for attendance. i'm not sure about snow conditions over there in Spokane (we got about 6" in Billings and all of MT got at least a few with more in certain areas it seems), but THAT plus the holiday, break from classes, traveling, etc made for a less enthusiastic crowd it seems. something like 5400 i read. that's about half of the usual Beasly home crowd lately. most of these tournaments seem pretty tame. look what USC brought to the Anaheim tournament tonight. LOL. freakin sad. i mean it's only LA. but hey... they'll always be the biggest die hard fans when they have sight of a championship. lol
