Griz vs. Wolfpack

The season is young. Nevada is a really good team. This is what the preseason is for. It will just make you better down the road.

Weber plays this same team in a couple of weeks. Win or lose, we just want to get better as the season progresses. I'll be out of the country for our game with them, or I might have traveled to that one.

I've got December 28th circled on my calendar.

Griz down by 8 with 1:16 to play. Much more aggressive this half, moving the ball well. Free throws disparity significant but Wolfpacks height and quickness is big reason. I really like Oke, aggressive, good shot blocker and now he’s becoming a contributor on offense.
Nevada started out with an 11 to 0 run and that was basically the difference. Slow starts have become a problem for as long as I can remember under Travis. We were down 23 pts at one point and fought back only down by 8 with 4 minutes to play. I saw some good things tonight despite the loss which I haven’t seen from a Travis team in a long time.

Oke with 13 points and 19 rebounds  ......pretty impressive in an otherwise unimpressive game.

I was impressed. To lose by only 11 and outscore Nevada 48-38 in the 2nd half. I loved what I saw in that 2nd half. But sure, it was “unimpressive”

Money Williams is a baller! That kid is legit and he should absolutely be the starting point guard. The kids got grit, toughness, and is not afraid to take over the game or the offense when he needs to. If Decuire does not start him moving forward then he is holding this team back. Whitney is scared and timid on the offensive end and Money has earned the starting job!

Travis was very short in his post game interview with Riley. He said there was a situation. After that radio timeout, Riley stoped talking for a good 20 seconds while you could hear someone whispering in his ear. Just found that very odd.

Nevada Fans were losing their minds as the Griz closed the gap. First half shooting was brutal, soo many easy bunnies missed and 0-11 on threes.
Lots of respect for Moody from the fans around me, also heard a lot of "we aren't going to lose to Montana are we" I reminded folks about the 5-12 match up in the NCAA tourney.
I can't wait for Weber to beat nevada!
