Griz vs. UNI Panthers 9/10/16

Match up nightmare for UNI. They lost most of there defense to graduation and they had some very good defensive backs. One was drafted. They are run heavy offense with some big dudes toting the rock.
 
Gris vs UNI ick ick ick. I'll cheer for a tie!

Cedar falls sucks, couple townie bars and not much else, stay away from Waterloo and nudey bar downtown, not pretty
 
We're taking in a game somewhere this year, preferably this time in Missoula. We may be at this one also, but I promised my wife as a bucket list thing as we look at impending retirement; she and I will attend a Griz game in Missoula
 
Dropped one of my daughters off to attend UNI a few days ago. I have to say that it burned a little bit when I wore the UNI t-shirt. :) But, I'd do anything for my girls.

On the positive side, she gave me a "Go Griz" as we left to drive home.

God, I feel your pain. I remember when my daughter visited Sam Houston State....all I could think was "Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!"

Thankfully she got accepted to Texas Tech! :lol: :lol:

Well, that's the kind of team we'll need to beat if we're going to start winning national championships. If nothing else, it should be a good gauge of where we're at.

The more pressing question is will you be wearing it when the Griz visit? I have two daughters of my own, but even as much as I would do "anything" for them, wearing the opposing colors wouldn't be in the discussion. I do feel sorry for whomever has the top bunk, that would be treacherous navigating @ times.
 
That's a BIG negatory to wearing that shirt to the game. All new Griz gear purchased during the annual summer trip to the mecca that is Missoula. I actually wore it the day prior, as we drove into Cedar Falls. That was my way of reminding her of my true allegiance.

That top bunk looks like it is going to cause a few concussions. Might have to leave her with a helmet.
 
Bump - who is able to show up for this game? Want to met prior for hydration? I do have a message from a UNI poster (on their site) to potentially show a few of us around. That is still pending.

If you go, let me know. I'm not sure if the Alumni Association will be present with a tailgate or not. I'm not going to bother with setting anything up. Probably just walk around and visit with others from UNI.

But, after the game, I'd like to find a bar to eat and to watch the Iowa/Iowa State game. It will be busy around town, but I think it would be fun.
