And yeah...the Griz did kind of sleep walk through a large part of the 2nd half it seemed. Thankfully they snapped out of it enough to pull out the win in the end.

Gutsy win by the Griz, lots to complain about but this is the most grueling road trip in the Big Sky. Let's just be satisfied with the win and take down the Bengels and Wildcats next week. It's going to be tough to replace Jordan Gregory next year. He leaves it all on the floor. Good finish guys.

The EAGS lost. The griz played a great game and UNC got screwed by a crappy call. It happens, the refs are not always correct and that is not reviewable. It is going to be a fun ride down the home stretch toward the tournament. Enjoy the win.

Mick Holien said it well in post game, decided by a call that could have gone either way. That was a tough call. Had the officials not blown the whistle, they would have still been criticized both ways. Overall, officiating was solid in both games this weekend.

Personally, I feel a no call would have been in order on that play. Officials are not supposed to reward out of control ball handlers, yet the 1st defender did appear to not be set and impeded him with a hip. That call can be debated forever and still not have a definitive outcome and opinion.

Ha! I was referring to the announcer repeatedly saying a Griz player walked but it wasn't called. Next year's unc game, that phrase will serve as my gotta drink phrase for a drinking game. You nailed it with "whiny"!

Congratulations. Not bad for a team picked by the coaches(I think) to finish seventh. I heard that Jordan went back to high school free throw shooting technique. If so really paid dividends tonight.

It appeared EWU played w/o Venky Jois tonight which explains a rather interesting result over there. At least ESPN didn't have his name in the box score. But at least we have a race but winning is always tough in Cheney

It will be VERY hard to replace Gregory but every team goes through that. But, trust me, when you see Michael Oguine, you are going to see a potential GREAT player. He isn't Gregory but he has moves and speed the Big Sky rarely sees..UM has a good future. They just need to stay focused, the WHOLE game...

Who was it that kicked it out to Gfeller? Incredible play! They recognized they didn't have time to bring it down and pass it, but just tapped it out to him. One of the plays of the game.

I believe it was Breunig. Just went up caught the missed shot and threw it out in one motion. Great play!

Nope.

Once the VOD is up I'll capture it and toss it up on youtube so we can take another look at it. What I saw was 22 slide to the left fairly obviously smacking into Gregory. I'll admit Gregory was a bit out of control at the time but still you have to keep your feet set. You can't slide over and hip check another person just because they are out of control.

No VOD yet on bigskytv though... will look for it later.

In looking at that replay, I can see it was Breunig who tapped it out to Gfeller. Sort of like a volleyball player hitting it over the net. Incredible play, very heady.
