Griz vs. SUU Predictions

The Griz came in Sunday and had the best day in the weight room they've had. This is a fired up, focused Griz team... the Griz will take-down the defending Big Sky Champs!

:egriz: GO GRIZ

Griz 41 Sout of South Utah 17

I have no money on this game. We win and it will be fun to watch!

Gave Utah all they could handle in first game. No cakewalk this!

SUU's D is pretty legit it appears. But I'm not sure getting shut out 24-0 is giving someone all they can handle. In order to be in a position to even threaten to win a game, you have to score at least a safety, which is the least amount of points allowed in American football. SUU not only scored zero points, they only crossed Utah's 20-yard-line twice the entire game. It seems to me Utah handled SUU's offense from start to finish.

Utah has had it's offensive woes in recent years but they're nails on D. Tough and well coached. SUU was never going to anything on offense in that game.

The Griz gotta have enough to win this game at home. Griz 24-21.

Griz will be coming in or should be coming into this game pissed for letting one get away. Griz certainly played good enough to win last week but because of a couple untimely turnovers we lost, its just that simple, the stats back that up.
Clean up those issues and we should be fine. SUU will be no pushover that is for sure. Not many teams in the Bigsky are a lock to beat anymore, even the bottom feeder teams can rise up and smite thee.
I look for this game to be tight until late in the third when we take over.
Griz 45
SUU 20

I predict Washington Grizzly Stadium being a better atmosphere than 11,000 attendance in Cedar City.

It's been too long between home games, sure the Griz are happy to be playing this one at home. Go Griz!!!

Hope Bob is right and the Griz outperform the home crowd. New memories like Boise's last game here and Idaho's, been too many close games a few blowouts would be nice I like to see all the players get some playing time when the game has been decided at halftime.

SUU doesn't appear to be a pushover as in years past. I still remember that game a couple years ago when they beat us on that silly 4th down fake punt. Going to be a close game, but heres to hoping both sides look consistent for the Griz.

GRIZ - 31

Southern Utah - 24

We "should" win, however this one may be the litmus test as to wether we can compete in an ever competitive conference. We lose or struggle to win it portends a real chance we fall short of seasons expectation

Let's say hopefully a 29-24 win for the good guys!!
