Griz vs San Diego

Can you re-watch games that have been played on Gogriz.com?

Hell, for the amount they charge you'd think you'd damn near own the rights to the game....

Haven't seen a way to do it. But if you find out please let us know.

WOW! What a ice-in-the-veins shot by Henderson! You can't deny we seemed to get outplayed for a good chunk of the game but the young Griz are growing up and showing poise down the stretch. They may not be a great team right now, but they have the potential to be great by the end of the season.

Also, I think Martin has made a strong case to start from here on out. He already looks better than Hutch out there. Sorry Eric, it's just the way it is right now.
WITHOUT A DOUBT! When martin went in that is when we turned it around! He changed a few shots, then had a few huge blocks that energized the team..That was a BLAST tonight! When Jamar hit that three to bring us within 5 points i knew we were going to make a serious run! What a game, its great to be back in the arena! Crowd was mild as usual for an early season game, but it got fairly rowdy at the end (for the size and intensity of the crowd). It just blows my mind how the attendance does not carry over from a year like last year. WTF, do people only want to watch basketball in late feb and march! its total bullshit, people miss out on great efforts and great games most the season.

great job griz :D

Yeah, it would be nice to see better crowds, but you gotta think the thanksgiving weekend killed some of the attendance. I hope a good crowd shows up for the SDSU game. The team really deserves that for such a big game.

BTW, who does the post game write-up? They mention several times that the Griz didn't have a lead the entire second half until Henderson hit his big 3. While that sounds very exciting it's completely false. They apparently didn't watch the game at all or they would have known the Griz had the lead for an extended portion of the second half.

Never let fact get in the way of a good story.

They actually have highlights of the game up right now. Don't even have to pay to watch them. Still would like a full replay. You know they can do it.

Thanks Peaux. And yes, the ability to watch the games after the fact might, you know, actually increase the following for basketball....

If we are so talented this year, why do we need a last second shot to beat some lowly mid-major team on our home court? I am very disappointed that we did not win by 15-20.

I agree with you on the "winning by 15-20"! This team does have talent, but it is young! Ward did his job, but has a serious problem rebounding?? Jamar had a bad game shooting and rebounding, but provided an amazing 11 asst, but really needs to start being more aggressive in the 1st half of games!! The rest of the clan are great young players with amazing potential, and really (for the 1st time ever) dont even hurt us, with stupid young mistakes! (very mature, and mentally disiplined young men) :thumb: Without Cherry, a win is a win, and we will take every one of them! Tinkle was very pissed after this performance, and hopefully he didnt work them so hard that BYU and SAN FRAN run us out of their gyms, but they did deserve an ass chewing and wake up call, if Tinks was right by saying,"the players thought SD was a walk in the park"!!! Also SD played 5 games to our 3 and had a game 2 days before ours, and we sat 7 days without playing a game! At this pnt in the season they were more game ready than us! I also think we havent played well all season and it is time to play a couple good ones! Coleman will be a factor shortly, Ward will get some boards, 1 of the young guards will step up, and Jamar knows what he has to do! :thumb: I seriously think we win two on the road! Go Griz!!

Down games happen. Pretty sure the coach covered it in the post game comments that Everett recapped. Aside from what he said, we don't have Cherry and we are bringing along some young talent that is raw. There are going to be bumps. The good thing is this young team has showed that they don't quit and have a lot of guts and confidence come crunch time.

If Kentucky was so talented last year, why did they struggle so badly against a very mediocre Tennessee last year?

If Michigan State is so talented, why did they damn near lose to LA-Lafayette at home this year?

Sometimes good teams have off games. Tinkle talked about it in the post game, and wasn't happy at all with the lack of focus out there. A win is a win though, and this early in the season it's normal for there to be some struggles.

How about Texas losing to Chaminade, or UCLA losing to Cal Poly? Those must be really bad programs now.

A 15-20 point win would have been nice but the one-point win with a tough shot by Henderson will benefit this team a lot more. The continued experience and growth of several players that sat the bench all last year, or weren't even on the team, is going to pay off with games like this. Only Jamar and Ward had any experience last year and the only other player with prior college level experience, Coleman, is new to the team and has been playing injured. To be 3-1 with those factors is pretty damn good.

SD, especially Johnny Dee, hit some really tough shots that almost got them the win...all while Jamar struggled from the floor, the Griz were out-rebounded once again, and the post play continues to struggle with overall production. SD was also very hungry for the win and had 6 games under their belt before this game.

Considering all this, the chances of a 15-20 point win by SD was probably more likely on that night. The development of this Griz team is going to be a process that takes time and putting one foot in front of the other. It's not perfect but we should feel pretty good about their progress.

Thanks to Jamar finding Hendo for 3! We love ugly wins!!!

Yeah. These same guys telling us how a tough win at home is such a positive thing would be crying about the team's lack of intensity etc. if that 3-pointer does not go down, which happens about 60-65% of the time.

All of you can save going back 25 years to find a couple of games where nobodies beat good teams. It does not impress me, and does not justify throwing a brick against San Diego at home. I know that Tinkle would agree with me.
