Griz vs. Sac State Game Thread

Griz win it by 28, and led by 36 until garbage time.

Great bounce-back win, Gentleman.

Here kitty, kitty, kitty....

Was great to see Roper get in again. Even played 2 minutes. Unfortunately his shot % will now only be .500. Nice work Griz, shame I missed the first half.

Player of the game was Stauds. It could have easily been Cherry. Does anybody know why Young didn't play?

As Stauds goes, so go the Grizzlies. If he's knocking down shots, they're going to be very tough to beat.

Does anybody know why Young didn't play?

I wondered that also. No mention of injury or illness. Can someone who was at the game comment on if he warmed up, and if so, how'd he look?

Young warmed up, and didn't appear to be injured, so I'm not sure why he didn't play. I missed part of the pre-game show so I'm not sure if Tinkle mentioned anything on the radio about Young sitting this one out. Anyone have any info on this? Maybe he was sick or something?

Great game by several of the Griz players tonight. Cherry was everywhere on the court and seemed to get his hand on a lot of Sac St passes. 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals by your starting PG is a pretty good line! Even though Stauds started out 2-6 in the first half, he caught fire in the 2nd half and didn't miss. AJ of course was AJ. Very cool that he is now the only Griz player to have 1000+ points in 2 seasons. That's pretty impressive considering some of the great 2 year players the Griz have had over the years (Anderson, Kearney, Williams, Davis, Bell, etc etc).
