Griz vs Sac St:. Game thread

Falls really on his game, and somebody needs to make a slomo reel of Pridgett under the basket as an instruction manual of how to do it right ... reminds me of Art Steward at times..

The emergence of Timmy Falls is huge. His aggressive play on D and O had Hornets off balance all night. When Montana gets 5 players in double figures, they're hard to beat.
Pridgett 17, Falls 16, Oguine 16, Rorie 11, Manuel 13.

DeCuire said, he had a difficult man to man talk with Falls this week. DeCuire told Timmy, some of the things would be difficult to hear. Timmy took it as a man, and how about the results? I sure would have liked to have heard that talk. Whatever was said, DeCuire apparently got Timmy to find himself and his heart. If the GRIZ can get that kind of game from Falls consistently, the GRIZ can up their level of their play.

So, great win, they figured out the interior defense. Better late than never. However, with Weber and the sCats losing, what does that mean for the Griz?
Griz win regular season title outright since U of Northern Colorado lost today to NAU
Yeah, my mistake, I thought I saw that NCU won by 1 today. Sorry. I've been drinking.

You're off the hook (mostly). ESPN was totally screwed up for quite a time and had the game over (with NoColo winning by 1) when it had actually gone into OT. There, the 'Jacks won handily, 89-78.

So I'm NOT crazy! I knew I saw that score!

No, your still crazy.

Falls in the starting lineup added the intensity the Griz were missing the last few games. If he stays focused and plays like this in the tournament, the Griz will be a different team. nice to see the Griz finally go on a run.

Why did Falls start and play so much? I saw that DeCuire had a big talk with him. I see that Dorsey didn't start, but played decent minutes. I know people have said Dorsey is playing hurt. Did Falls start due to match up, injury, or some other change in the offense? Or what? Thx.

Falls had a good game. He was under control most of the time, was not trying to make a pass that wasn't there. He made some nice moves to the basket and showed some nice quickness. I would guess he was in there longer than usual because of injuries to others. I only recall one turnover he made in the second half. His play gave us an added dimension that Sac State had to deal with. He has improved in the latter part of the season.

A shout out too to Kendal Manuel.

A year ago we talked about how the three-point shot has changed the game, while lamenting that we just weren't very good at it. Little did we know we'd get such a quick fix this this season in the form of Manuel. Where before our three-point shots were like prayers, often unanswered, this year any time Manuel shoots I expect the ball to go in. And given his form, I don't see that changing.

How about this for a fantasy: Manuel And Tres Tinkle both playing for the Griz? They're close friends, and Tres is lighting it up for Oregon State. Two Montana kids representing the state of Montana. (Oh, wait. Tres has a Dad at Oregon State. Rats.)
