Like every hope opener Game Day, I can't sleep! Thankfully, it's a 3 day weekend.
Night games are fun to attend in person but excruciating when you have to wait all day long just to watch the game.
At least there's lots of other football to watch all day long.

I love night games but it means the game is still 12 hours away

probably same feeling for the players and coaches - who want to get the Griz Train rolling.

My (adult) sons are going to the game tonight so I told them to yell loud for me. Youngest son said he would try but he didn't want to trash his voice. I laughed and laughed. Then I told him to suck it up. Haha.

Missouri State has my full attention and far more importantly, the full attention of Coach Hauck, his staff and his/our team !!!
With a new starting QB behind center for us and three new starters on our O line, not to mention a new NT, DE, three new starting LB's, new starting CB's, including nickel, and new starting safety joining Meyer, we have a lot of new starters. so I hope we hold our first-game mistakes to a minimum and can win the game !!! ( Fortunately, a lot of these new starters did see extensive playing time last year .)
Sorry for being Danny Downer-- I'm just saying I don't think Missouri State from the tough Missouri Valley is going to be a pushover.

Minus a small handful of first games of the year, the Griz have often left some fans worried. All of the new/unproven folks will no doubt play hard. Mistakes will undoubtedly happen, and be addressed in subsequent games. I certainly don’t expect the team to look like they did during the playoffs last year. Now, that absolutely doesn’t mean I don’t hope or want them to look that good, I just don’t expect it. Regardless, Go Griz, MAUL EM!

What caught my attention re: Missouri State more than anything else is they return something like 20 starters and we don't, so I am thinking the other MSU we play this year just might be a little salty, not 10 feet tall, but salty !!!

Don't be surprised if this Missouri state team finishes 3rd in the Valley. This is a legit team.
