Griz vs Minn

LA, just an update, the Griz have gotten to the bucket multiple times down the floor in the last three minutes but missed layups or missed FTs. They are actually looking good on drives, just not finishing.
 
Honestly are we even running offense or just running a high screen and then have our guards dribble then jack up a 3. Or is that our offense?
 
Hmmmm, Gophers with 14 point lead at the break. They should only be up by single digits at worst. Griz just need to finish. I think they are too excited because they are missing shots I think they normally make. Dunn looks good out there at point. He will be starter sooner rather than later. If the griz can settle down, they can get back in this game. Rebounding has actually looked really good this game. They are getting after it, Gfeller especially.
 
Way to much pounding the ball around the perimeter. Doesn't seem to be any fluidity in our offensive game, and Kareem looks tentative. I would love to see Reem get the ball a little bit in the high post and on the block and force feed him some looks.

This. If they get half of those inside buckets down the stretch, this is a close game. Now? It ain't.

I've noticed this is a trend against "better" teams. The Griz seem to rush inside shots, maybe thinking the athleticsm will get it blocked. But it seems to happen whenever the Griz play non-mid majors.
 
Correct, Everett. Griz had a chance to move within single digits at halftime, but give up two possessions (5 pts) and are now in a tough spot. Gotta spring Kareem loose for some 12-ft jumpers.

Getting away from them in a hurry.


And what's strange is it doesn't seem like they're playing poorly. Missing too many shots (only shooting 33%). But other than that, it doesn't seem as though it should be a 20 point game.
