Griz Vs. ISU

Griz win by 19 71-52 BQ 21 and 9, Ward 13 pts, Jamar 11 pts and 9 rebs. Great job Griz! Go finish it without a loss. They said BQ had 2 blocks on the night. :thumb:  :thumb:

Griz percentages - 56 from the field, 45 from 3 and 71 from the line.

BS tv.."Coach ONeil"...do these kids read.??..JC!!!.,,UM has to get some announcers..nice job Griz...good coaching...get LB State..keep that RPI moving up

I hope and pray, I am wrong on this. I honestly believe Autry will not be a GRIZ after this year. Then again, maybe some tough love is being practiced here. I can understand not giving someone playing time. How many occasions have we blown teams out? Those are times to build your team's future. I cannot figure out why we have not done that with Autry? I know he needs to learn how to run an offense, but it seems like we are not even trying to develop him.

Is it possible that Autry and Tinkle have come to a conclusion he is moving on after this season? That is honestly the only thing I can think of. Again, I hope I am wrong.

Another great GRIZ win, with great defense.

Congrats Big BQ on a great Sr. Night showing and thanks for your 4 years of representing the U of M very well and working very hard to be the best!

Why do I keep getting the feeling watching the Griz play, that if they run up against a team that does a real good full court press, we are in trouble. Anyone notice the trouble we have sometimes.

I am worried without a healthy Cherry. With a healthy Cherry, bring on the press...........PLEASE!

Autry had a turnover in the first half, was yanked, and never came back in. Frankly, both Stockton and Wood played very poorly in the first half and yet got mucho minutes in the second half. :? On a lighter note, super game by Kareem! I don't think I have ever seen a Griz true freshman with his court smarts and awareness!

Your guy's game vs ISU was alot like our game vs Portland State tonight, the game is close for a while, tied at 23, then all of a sudden bam Weber goes on a 20-5 run and leads at half by 15 43-28.

Weber went on to win by 22 80-58

Ok Weber lets take our 6 game win streak into San Jose and KICK SPARTA'S ARSE.

How was the weather up in Grizland? For the 2nd time this year a FREAKIN BLIZZARD started up a half an hour before tipoff :lame:

And way to go NAU

I have three words for you... Micheal Ray Richardson

After struggling offensively in the first 10 minutes of the game, UM took a 17-11 lead. Autry was in for Cherry during this time. Then ISU came back with 3 straight buckets, all off of UM turnovers. At 17-15, Autry came out, and Cherry and Stockton came in. After ISU tied the game at 17-17, UM went on a 12-2 run to end the half. Combined with the start of the second half, UM went on a 27-4 run, I believe. I don't know why Autry didn't at least get some minutes later in the second half.

Stockton was 2-3 from 3-pt range. As I have said before, I think he's decent shooter. However, as he has said, his role is not to score. The other 5 guys in the top 6 are all scorers.

UM was too hesitant to shoot last night. Too many extra passes that led to turnovers in the first half, and too many ball fakes with a dribble or two to nowhere. Selvig could have a launched a few more. Ward was shooting from outside very well last night. Will was hampered by his ankle, but penetrating far enough to make some great passes. Qvale was outstanding. Jamar was good. Woods got to the hoop nicely several times. Too many turnovers. Very good defense. Free throw shooting was weak early in the game, but then improved considerably.

Neither Stockton or Wood were in for the last four or five minutes of the first half. Tinkle was obviously frustrated with the play of these two and put in Adams. Both had better second halves. Autry didn't see the floor again.
