JACK free throws won the game for the GRIZ
Tinks still does some goofy last minute coaching but they pulled out the win
Selving showed some sparks of great agility and confidence...although bringing the
ball up the court my not be his best suite.
Griz win without a big game from Jordo.
AJ..great altheticm and speed. still 5 turnovers..some very carless passes.but he is picking it
up fast..i simply love how he pushes it up the floor and how quick he is.
Stauds ..shooting 4-4 shooting in the first half kept them in it..he still probably leads the nation
in three shooting which IS pretty amazing.
When they were up by 15...it could have been a blow out..they need put the daggar in.
WAY TO GO JACK...CLUTCH.
this was a good team... i say we peat PSU this next weekend. It will be interesting to see how PSU does
vs UW tonight.

citygriz said:what will turn this team and this program around is a committment to defense--as when you're up by five with three minutes to play and you need a few defensive stops to wrap it up. i give the griz--and mcgillis in particular--tremendous credit for winning a game that i didn't think was winnable before the season started, but in the last minutes of the game, fresno state scored on six straight possessions. we won it by being perfect with our free throws but the other route to winning close games is defense, and it just wasn't there in the clutch yesterday. defensive efficiency and intensity is what i'll be looking for when i see my first live griz game saturday night in portland.
