Griz vs. FBS

So, I’m sitting here watching Texas St be Rice, and I’m thinking, “the Griz beat both these teams.” Am I wrong? Of course, I’m biased, but i think I’m correct. I’m totally bowled out, but there is a lot of mediocrity going on in the lower FBS. I’m not gonna speculate on why, as it’s not my place to say what’s going on in either the player’s heads, or with the coaching staffs, but the play is very flat-so far-in a lot of the bowl games. The Griz would beat a lot of these FBS teams that are now playing in these bowl games; and they’d lose to some. Yeah, I’m a homer, but I’d really like to here the opinions of fellow Egriers.

You are not wrong, but you are trying to apply logic to an illogical situation. Why the filthy and corrupt NCAA cannot pull their antiquated and bloated head out of their hind end is beyond me. Simple fix. Tier the divisions. Have playoffs for each and make each tier meaningful and competitive. Imagine if App. State, Georgia Southern, Marshall, NDSU, SDSU, Boise, Nevada, JMU, Utah State, U of M, MSU, UNLV, Texas State, Rice and others were playing in the same division and competing in the playoffs? You might even throw Wyoming and a couple of others in there as well. Some teams would simply move down because they cannot compete monetarily or athletically. Idaho State, No Co., EWU, Portland State, etc. The current scenario is only going to get worse with NIL $$’s. Something has to be done. Yet, there the NCAA sits watching a butcher take a dull blade to the Pac 12. Pathetic. Could the leadership of the NCAA be more inept. Nope.

This might be the worst, most sloppy game I've watched since the NAU game this year... these two teams are mediocre and have zero discipline.

That 35 yards of penalties on one punt…then, instead a declined running into the kicker and Rice keeping the ball, was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen. Was a sure fire…”F it” moment for the refs. Also…how about the ref leaving his mic on and yelling “dammit”! :lol: I do like his nonchalant descriptions during calls though…

We’ve been saying it for year at NDSU. Top 3-4 teams of FCS this time of year are easily top 25-40 FBS material

Classic a complete comedy of errors , compounded with the nasily ref that had completely had it.
