Vazquez is giving Magnuson work. 4 turnovers already for a guy who evidently had one of the best assist-TO ratio's in country coming into the game.

I noticed something interesting when looking at the Big Sky stats. Magnuson does lead the conference in assist-TO ratio when you consider the entire season's games; his ratio is about 4-to-1.

But when you look at the stats for just the conference games (which admittedly is a limited number), Timmy Falls is by far the leader with a 13-to-1 ratio. Magnuson is still at 4-to-1.

So Falls has really improved this facet of his game as the season has gone on.
Definitely goes to show that stats dont always paint the full picture, especially in college basketball. Matchups are more important than anything. Most Big Sky teams dont challenge themselves in the non conference like the griz do, so their record and stats end up looking more impressive.

I've always been high on Falls. He doesnt score a lot of points, but he does everything else at a high level. I'm glad he has gotten more comfortable as the season has gone on, but I have to say that number is a pleasant surprise. I think it's safe to conclude now that his early season form was hindered by his recovery from injury.

That and the fact he was playing against a higher level of competition than other Big Sky teams were facing...

I know. I was making fun of the school Eastern scored 150 against that the announcers praised them for

Misunderstood your comment, and missed that remarked by the announcers. Never heard of Waterfall U.

Is interesting that DeCuire's strategy of playing very tough opponents in the preseason seems to be paying off.

Very good win for Montana, lot of players contributed which is huge.
If they keep it up Montana will be dangerous come big sky tournament time.

I like to see Pridgett distributing some great passes building Andersons confidence, think he got in a bit of habit of playing Iso type basketball and trying to take on the whole team which led to some turnover problems...and to be clear he absolutely had to do that for much of the early season to keep the Griz in games, but as other guys are starting to step up he needs to trust the help

This is key, other guys score and it will open things up for him, too. Win/win.

Terrific job by Pridgett with dimes. How freaking good is DCH going to be, 18 (smh)? If Josh and KO can make that leap we will be looking good. It is a bit of a cliché but its true D never has a bad shooting night, there is a downside thinking you can outscore opponents every game, particularly when you play Torero D. If the boys keep progressing we should be shiny come March.

What an ass whoopin.

In fact, the worst I’ve seen since golden shower tried to tangle intellectually with CDA.

Tonight one team showed they’re the front runner (so what else is new?) for the bsc title. And one team....well, one team showed they’re still ewoooo.

You could see him mouth to the trainer his shoulder popped out

The Josh Vasquez shoulder injury could be significant. I also saw him mouth it popped out to the trainer which tells me it might be a labrum injury.

Nice win by the Griz last night. So nice to see shots dropping for us, especially from the free throw stripe. Congrats to Coach D! :thumb:
