Griz :vs: Duquesne game thread

This is an embarrassment.

We should not be playing this game.

Everyone involved in bringing this game to Missoula needs a wet noodle lashing.

What a horrible way to end the season for these guys.

I know Tinks likes to play a half court game, and with his personnel that makes sense.

But next year, I'd like to see more of this full court pressure. I really think, especially in the BSC, it would be effective with the athleticism of the Griz guards.

With the roster coming in next year, I think that's a possibility. Wasn't it Tinkle that hinted that Weisner could play 4? If a 6'7'' 185 lb shooter is playing PF, probably not going to grind the boards much.

Regardless of what happens in this game, the talent gap between mid level Eastern and Western teams is beyond shocking. And this is WITH us having two 7 footers. Their tallest palyer looks like he's 6'6. Just more talent out East, too strong, too fast, too good.

Adjust your brackets accordingly, fellas.
SFTU!

f'n AWESOME picture on HDNET for the Oregon Weber State game. Best HD picture I have seen all f'n year. HD for basketball fulltime!

If they cool off a little we can make a run. They just cant let this lead get any bigger. They will make mistakes and we just need to show up like we did at the end of the half. That half seemed like it took forever because of the up tempo pace they play, and that means more opportunities than we are used to getting! Lets go Griz!! Also we cant afford to have Selvig trying to make things happen, he needs to let game come to him or sit out!

I've been thinking about this myself. We lose the anchor in Qvale next year, but replace him with a slew of young athletes. Selvig might even be more comfortable as a "running" big man. A faster style of play might fit next years roster better.

That all depends on which Michigan State team shows up. The one that defeated Purdue 74 - 56 (11 March) or the one that lost to Purdue 67 - 47 (27 Feb).

Selvig is a machine.............turnover that is. We have our 2 guard for next year on the roster right now. Jamar would be a great guard.
