Griz vs Central Washington

1) playing for a field goal at half time
2) miscues, fumbles and blocked punts and 12 men on the field
3) a new offensive coordinator and the same suspect and unexplainable play calls
4) inconsistent play
5) talented kids as always. (He recruits well) but they’re not sharp, seem unprepared.

You gotta love big game Brent Vigen.

So who is to blame for those things? Things which we regularly see from Vigen coached teams. Who is the boogeyman that keeps thwarting the coaching genius that is Brent Vigen?

It will be interesting to see the polls on Monday, Should be NDSU and SDSU at 1 & 2. Followed by Tarleton State and Cats at 3-4. Griz will move up to 5 with SD loss. ND and Idaho will be 6-7. Rest of top 10, anyone’s guess.
I don’t see the poles having the 0-2 bobcats in the top 5.

Defense rebounded in the 2nd half, AhYat is going to have to clean it up and play better going forward but he made some good plays. His Redzone Interception I blame on Pease, that was just some plain dumbass, being too cute play calling.
Yep. It was the equivalent of the Seahawks throwing the ball down instead of handing it off to Marshawn Lynch. I suspect it won't ever happen again.

This game went about how I expected it to. So many new faces that it was gonna take some time for them to settle in a bit and then once they did the defense pitched a shutout, got 2 INT’s, pressured the QB, and locked in.

As for the offense Gillman, Rocker, and Wortham all had huge nights! Some good and bad from Ah Yat but the good gave me something to be encouraged about and kudos to him sticking with it after throwing 2 bad INT’s. A snowball could’ve turned into an avalanche, but he stepped up, made good decisions and allowed us to win the game.

Good to be back and knock the rust off. Typical first game with some sloppiness but I expect them to clean it up and look sharp next week for a huge game!

They better clean up their tackling post haste.

LOTS of missed/broken tackles that resulted in countless YAC for CW.

Can't you think Bobby will have a say in it? It just seems like the play was overthought.
With all the random stuff that Bobby likes to put in pre season games, it doesn’t surprise me that it was called. I fully expect to see it again but way later on in the season. CW was a disciplined and prepared team. They should do well moving forward.
