2 things:

1) I sometimes forget how damned fucking impressive it is watching a running back who absolutely WILL NOT be denied the end zone. The more time that passes from Chase Reynolds' time at UM, the more I miss him being in the backfield.

2) That QB was NOT in the end zone on the 2 point conversion.

If I was Jace I soooo would have grabbed that ball (that seemed to be for the taking) on the EZ flip/jump JM TD. Then again, he was likely a lot further away than video implies and it would have been all for naught anyway if it broke the plane. It almost looks like he backs off. Hey man...free ball! Take it, bat it, swat it, slam it. With that said, obviously I've never played the game and I'm hoping this weekend both the Griz and the Bison get another in the "W" column. How cool would that be? Answer: Pretty freaking cool.

I have watched that play on the DVD I have of that game no less than 500 times, and I still can't tell if that ball crosses the plane. But I'll say this: I have NO idea how they saw conclusive evidence to overturn that call.

But yes, one of my favorite GRIZ games. Bergquist was a beast in that game.

The refs also reversed a great catch by Mariani that would have closed the deal and let the Griz run out the clock. That one pissed me off more than the 2 point reversal. The announcers on both replays said it was not conclusive enough to reverse the original call.

I think they just fired him. Good riddance. Can't stand Tally (sp?) at Villanova either.
