Griz @ viks

Well, some positives: Egan scored a few tough shots, and the Griz showed they are not as bad as they looked. Carter H developing more each game but is playing hurt, maybe. Falls played better and kept his head in the game more than he usually does. MSU is going to be tough.

And, only a freshman!

That’s right!! And we are going to have one hell of a team!!!!!
That is what makes this game worth watching. UM is not going anywhere this year but the future is going to be fun.
You got it!!!!!

One of the few positives from this game was that another freshman, Egun, got a lot of playing time, too, and he played pretty well. I was beginning to wonder if he was really a D1 level player. He had 6 pts, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.

I'm not sure why all of a sudden he got so much playing time when he hasn't had much lately. I guess part of it was that both Falls and Manuel were in foul trouble.

Seven rebounds for Egun in one half is impressive! Maybe our rebounding is going to have to come from our guards (and Carter-Hollinger.) Our other bigs are not rebounding and Yagi is not playing. :?

You R right about Egun. We are going to have more depth than any team in big sky conference. Hopefully, everyone will come around by tournament time.

Not what I hoped for but I feared we might drop this one. We always had trouble with them last year but I didn't expect them to make every damn shot they put up. A lot for the Griz to work on but I loved their fight to the end! I like our chances if we meet up with them in the tournament. It was nice to see Egun get playing time, even if it was out of necessity/desperation! I think it allowed him to at least get comfortable in the flow of the game. I hope this game makes them even hungrier for Saturday!

Freshmen class has several talented dudes, and it takes some time (some longer) for them to adjust to D1 after being dominant at the high school level. The future looks bright.

Griz were in "foul mode" for the last 90 seconds of the game. I think he was fouled at least 5 times in that period, so that's where 10 of those game from. Might have even been more.
