Yup, De la Salle is from the bay area and mater dei is from SD area...just had that Mater dei thing refreshed when i watched espn 30 for 30 on Todd Moranavich....pretty interesting and very sad storymoose/squirrel said:Correction as my aging mind had to resort to Wiki...it was De La Salle that Bellvue beat in 2004 and their winning streak was 151 games. Nate Montana did play for De La Salle after that but I don't think he started, perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, is David Nguyen still a Griz? I don't see his name on the roster, and haven't heard anything from him in a while. Anybody know what's up? Sorry if this is an old issue.

Watching the last 7 minutes, 35-3 Bellvue, big back just busted one 95 yards. Bvue has allowed 13 points in 4 playoff games. Appears Nguyen is the third best back on the team. Two ahead going FBS. Color guy posits that Bvue is the best HS team in the country.10 state titles in 12 years, 5 in a row.
Cuervohala, in 2004 they beat Mater Dei from the Bay area that had a 139 game winning streak and never threw a pass. I may be wrong but I think Nate Montana was a backup QB for Mater Dei.
