MBBALL GRIZ v weebs Gameday

The best in getting the ball up the floor.

Now on a side note we need the GA seating back, familes are being shut out, they are the future of griz ball.
Ya I’m really starting to get pissed off by this too. This is the best team we’ve had since the 18-19 team and they deserve better crowds than this. It’s sad that they can only get 3,000 fans at their games with how fun they are to watch and now being in solo first place. Is there really nowhere else we can put the beer garden? If you’re allowed to take it back to your seats now then why can’t we just sell it in the concession stands? Or put the beer garden in the EAG.

I went to the game on Thursday and the cheapest ticket I could find was $25. There was 3 of us and after fees we ended up paying close to $90. They gotta reopen the GA. This team deserves better.

Need to ask for a refund from that consulting company. 3000 at a $30 average or 7500 at a $12 average of equals the same damn thing. And one of those is a hell of a lot more fun to play in front of and be a part of.

I really like the way this team is playing. I guess I’m just echoing what many other posters are saying.
I’m both excited and nervous about the tournament in Boise. I’d like to go but I need several things to come together. Party with where the end the season. Two really tough road games coming up. PSU and MSU. PSU scares me more than the cats because they are so athletic. MSU on the other hand with their crowd could really bother us. We will not have faced such a nasty crowd this year. That coupled with our new players first time at the field house and the depth perception in that stockyard makes for difficult sight lines. I hope the teams get enough practice time.
Yeah, the conference should prohibit games from being played in a rodeo arena.

Then again, this is a league who once nearly held the bsc tournament in a yoga studio so....

I would say yes. He always preaches it and most of his teams have attempted it. They just haven't all been great at it. In the past the extra pass often felt forced and the resulting shot wasn't always improved.

With this team -- almost without fail -- if you see another pass you know it's going to result in a better shot opportunity.

Of course, it doesn't hurt this team has six or seven guys who can reliably fill it. That hasn't always been the case. In the past, sometimes the next pass got a better shot, but taken by a lesser shooter. This team doesn't have any of those
I think the biggest difference this year is the trust that players have in each other. They make the extra pass because they know there's a player, other than them, that will finish it off. This team, now, is playing at a different level than the losses they had to Tennessee and Oregon.. Travis has them playing great team ball. I know t n e BSC is down this year, but this style of play right now is great for tournament basketball. Fewer isolations, and greater spacing than we've had in a really long time-if ever. The passing is crisp, the defense is swarming, and annoying to the other teams, and they've learned to close out games. They have certain roles right now, and Travis is pushing all the right buttons on substitution. Moving Money to the beach was a great move! He still gets his time on the court, and Kai is a settling presence to start out the game. When Money does come in, there's a spark and energy that enters with him. That's just one example. Travis' best coaching since he's been coaching here. Sorry about the long post. Had a couple IPAs. Go Griz!

No updated bracket from Joe Lunardi yet but Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has the Griz as a 15 seed playing 2 seed Houston. Kinda pissed he has South Dakota State as a 14 despite the fact that we beat them and they have more losses than us. That's why I think Lunardi does a better job. Houston would be an incredibly brutal matchup.

Honestly I don't think any of those guys put 1 second of thought into the 14-16 seeds.

While you know a lot more basketball than I do, Lobster, I like your analysis and what you say about our players trusting each other, making the extra pass, and bringing in Money off the bench makes sense. While I don't know Money, I have a hunch thaf he might prefer not starting but being our 6th man--takes some pressure off our very talented sophomore who has obviously been through a lot in his personal life recently and allows Travis to utilize the senior talents of Cobra Kai ( Love the nickname !!! ).

Money will be pumped for the cat game I would assume, not his best performance against them last time. I believe that cat announcers commenting on his draft status last game???

Yes, Mavman, I couldn't get the game for some reason on 105.5 FM, ESPN radio--our GRIZ station in Billings, so I tuned in the Shi__y Kitty Station, KGHL 790 AM, 94.7 FM, and their play-by-play guy said to their analyst something like, " That's Money Williams--supposed to be a second-round NBA pick. Looks more like a second-team Big Sky bench player."

I really hope he gets a triple double!
