I am too frustrated to even say much about this game now. Very disappointing game and outcome.

Wayne is rightfully upset by listening to the post game. He said this team is so inconsistent. Glad to know I he knows it too. He also just said, "I am not too happy about it". That was his final statement about the team. OW, I have a feeling there is about to be some royal ass chewings and tough practices.

We had 4 total rebounds in the 2nd half of the game. I'll allow that to sink in for a minute. 4... We were out-rebounding them 11-8 at halftime and lost the battle of the boards 15-31.
So in the 2nd half we got outrebounded 23-4, with 8 of those being offensive rebounds.
Gregory, DeShields and Dunn had our only rebounds in the 2nd half. I can't even find who got the fourth, it must have been "team" meaning someone from UNC knocked it out of bounds I guess.
Our usual posts combined for 62 minutes and ripped down a whopping 2 rebounds combined. Weisner had 1 rebound in 29 minutes, Hutch had 0 in 9 minutes, Kemp had 0 in 15 minutes, and Martin had 1 in 9 minutes.
That's just pathetic. There's no other way to describe it. DeShields and Gregory led our team in rebounding with 3 a piece.

UM had 7 assists. What? Outrebounded 31-15. Starting guards were leading rebounders with 3 each. Hutch, Martin, Kemp and Weisner combined for 2 total. Huh? Has that ever happened in the history of the universe, i.e. 4's and 5's combine for 2 rebounds.

Not sure about history of the universe, but this version of the Griz does not have anyone capable of playing either the 4 or 5 position. I am of the opinion that Martin, Hutch, Kemp, nor Weisner would play meaningful minutes for any other team in the Big Sky at the 4 or 5 position. So when you are trying to win games with what might be the 4 poorest bigs in the Big Sky, it is going to be a struggle every night.

I wonder if Kemp would benefit from being moved to his more natural position of 4 instead of having to play the 5 every game. Maybe that might get something going for him and allow us to play a bigger lineup at times to see if maybe having two people over 6'5" on the floor at the same time might allow our posts to accidentally get a couple rebounds every once in a while with more consistency.
Or maybe it wouldn't... who knows. It may be time for drastic measures though to try to get something going from a big. Without any consistency from our 4s and 5 we are going to continue to struggle even in a flat out awful conference.
At this point it's almost weird how inconsistent they are. Basically we have 3 players who are fairly consistent on this team right now, and some younger guys who shows flashes of what they are capable of. And...we have a good number of guys who might show up for one game then disappear for the next 4 (sometimes all at the same time, like today).
