geesus...I can't watch ANY MORE of this....have a nice night everyone. Maybe the Griz will pull this out...Best thing to be said is that they are in a conference this year that is also bad...

We know. You watch 4 minutes and are instantly the expert on the skill-level of the Big Sky, and want to quit on the team. You are a fair-weather fan as usual.
I guess so. yessiree, the Big Sky is a powerhouse this year..ubetcha...[/quote

I actually agree about the Big Sky being poorer than usual this year, as I have watched many games. But when you admit to watching 4 minutes and immediately proclaim something that you know very little about, and have said the same thing every year (even with Cherry and Lillard in the league), it just doesn't carry much weight.

Where you are 100% wrong is quitting on the team mid-game. "I can't watch ANY MORE of this" epitomizes you as a "fan" over the years. If you only meant it and truly went away, but you'll be back over and over being a fair-weather, hypocritical jerk.

Rebounding is really about two things: positioning and desire. Obviously as much zone as this team plays, positioning will always be a concern. But it shocks me that on a team coached by Tinks that desire is a problem. But it's obvious it is.

...caught in to many droughtz...
...got to have a scoring play...
...stuck on 48 then on 55...

... 8-) ...

Calm down zirg.

Sheeesh...

I took my daughters to this game, and it WAS hard to watch. Painfully long dry spells and they didn't exactly crash the boards. Then you had Spudd Webb driving the lane on 7-footers and schooling them. It was painful, and hard to cheer, but the crowd at least didn't give up like it seemed the players did. Tinks was pissed and you could tell as he was waaaay more animated than usual. We could hear him loud and clear from across the floor.

Suffice to say, I will be taking the girls to see the ladies play next...

So do you all really think the conference is down this year or could it be possible there is more parity this year instead of two top teams controlling things? I know UM is struggling mainly with the inside game but many other teams appear to have more talent and have been stepping up pretty big like they haven't in the recent past.

The league is exactly the same this year as last except there are not 2 good teams. Last year league as bad overall but WSU and UM were heads and shoulders better. This year the league lacks those teams and the entire league is hard pressed to be called mediocre.

Did you catch Weisner miss the shot and go into a funk, could have had the rebound. As well as getting out rebounded by the smallest guy on the floor. No desire.

Odder yet, Weisner was diving on the floor and working hard the prior game. He has been inconsistent with his desire as well. There are a few players in the same boat this season. This is not something we have seen in the past from the GRIZ under Wayne

I don't think the "problem" with the conference is simply that UM & Weber are down. UM isn't as tough in the 4/5 positions but from what I've heard, Weber is still pretty talented in all positions. I think the other teams are tired of losing to those teams and have gotten more talent and have played really well.

Just from watching UM's 4 losses, all those teams looked better than last year. Just as importantly, they played very tough & inspired, knocking down many tough shots, etc. after NAU won, they acted as if they won a national championship.

I'm not trying to say the Big Sky is a powerhouse conference but I also don't think it's down compared to the last few years. In some ways it may be stronger. Especially since the team that wins the conf tourney should be much more battle tested without a bunch of easy wins. It's pretty clear that any team can beat any other team on any given night and that should make all the teams better when it comes time to play someone from another conference.

Yes, ma'am, you are absolutely right, yessiree. Even though the RPI of the Big Sky is 27 and falling in a total of 31, it is not to be ignored. Gotcha. Next time I will promise to watch for 5 minutes before turning it off.

It is painful to watch and I don't know why we didn't go to the hole when we broke the press. Many things are frustrating about this year. You, however, seem so insecure. If the Griz do well then you can use them to project importance and power. When they aren't, then you use your big city and "wonderful" state to project power. Just realize, you are the most insignificant speck in that cesspool you call home and quit blaming your insignificance on the Griz. Be a fan, post something intelligent or just quit posting all together please.
