GRIZ v Hens Game Day Thread.

Really really disappointed in the Griz unsportsmanlike penalties (except for Clifton’s which was a ticky tack call). Lack of class. Also WTF was the staff thinking keeping starters in so late in the game? We are lucky we only lost Walker, which could well be the difference between a win and loss down the road. It was a great game in the first 2 1/2 quarters then we lost focus.

Why the he'll is every griz game one of the longest you ever see every weekend? 3 1/2 hours....

And it was pretty miserable sitting out there. To the point the crowd booed every media timeout!

I don’t know what Corbin walker did on his unsportsmanlike because they never showed it. Jaxson Lee’s was a ridiculous call. Cliftons was (as you say) ticky tack. This is playoff football and these kids are excited. Christ they let them celebrate more in the NFL than they did in this game. Just ridiculous.

I’m more upset by the 3 wide open missed TD opportunities than I am the penalties.

Lee's was a total uncalled for taunt. Some type of slash a sword and bury it in the ground move right in front of the Delaware receiver. McDowell less so but an in the face taunt. Act like you've been there! Class??

The backups making a routine defensive play and then jawing and gesticulating in the face of the guys they are beating by 30? Shitass football. Have a little grace and act like you have been there. And yes. lotta drops and missed open guys. Lot to clean up.

But the fans stayed loud and grouchy. All credit to them.

The motion wasn’t a sword slash, it was a buckling his seatbelt motion… as in he locked down the receiver. I think the only reason he got called was because he did it right in the face of the receiver.

Fans around me were pissed at how long the starters were left in and the unsportsmanlike calls by the backups. I think the weather was in large part contributing to some missed wide open guys and some drops. Overall the starters dominated every facet of the game.

I think you're right in both cases. I'm no expert in cool taunt moves but I do think at least one reason he got called was because he did it right in the face of the receiver. That's the definition of a taunt. Guys like AZ think it's pretty cool dude! 🤔

When do we find out the day/time of our next game? And, is there any chance we can have a have a game that isn't late?

The good news is that walker was able to walk off the field under his own power, gives me hope that the injury is not as serious as many fear.

I think it’s lame all the way around. There’s some form of taunting on literally every play. The ref’s selective choosing of WHEN to throw a flag just inserts themselves into the game for no reason.

I’ll take things white people like for 500, Alex. Fullback 1 yard plunges, handing the ball to the ref after a TD and “acting like you’ve been there before”. 🙃

Let’em do what they want and let the coaching staff handle it or other dudes between the lines. It is only a game. You don’t like it, don’t watch it. 😜

UD was talking the whole first quarter. Ain’t nothing wrong with clapping back when the game is well in hand.

Wait, where’s Bdizzle to tell everyone what turds they are for talking about the weather?😄

It was a non-factor
