GRIZ v. ewoo

Selvig just needs to get more physical! CAN HE EVEN DUNK! I like his game, he just needs to toughen up!!!
 
Terrific defense!! Rebounding was a bit of a concern, but all in all, a very solid win. Taking care of business!
 
BQ had another great game. A double/double with 13 and 12, to go along with 5 blocks (and I think they cheesed him on a few), and about 15 altered shots. He is now in 2nd in BSC history just 4 blocks away from DG's all-time BSC record.

Big Sky announcers did a better job tonight, but they need to know the difference between the midmajor#14 Portland and the 9-6 Portland ST (Not the Same Team) we play Port St on Sat not Portland!
Qvale double double, Cherry solid, and other than FT% Steward played good! Autry took advantage of min., Wood played better than he has, Ward played solid, and Stockton did his thing. This was not an exciting game, but it was a big win! Poor shooting for Griz, but they played great Defense, and DEFENSE WINS GAMES!! Good win Griz!
 
Lot's of players stepping up in this game, it was god to see. Solid play from a lot of players, but kind of a sloppy game - I'll bet we never see Cherry miss 2 layups in 1 game again. Question for anyone near the Griz bench - Why was Tinkly so upset with Ward all night? It seemed like he had a pretty decent game - needs to make quicker decisions with the ball to avoid the double team trap, but Tinkle was all over him. I assume it was something he was not doing on defense?

Tinkle did a good job to not let the team get too complacent when they had the big lead and let EWU back into the game. Late in the game with some uninspired sloppy play going on, Tinkle called timeout and you could clearly hear him yelling "Let's get it together out there". It was awesome, and good to see the Griz focusing on keeping their foot on the opponents throat.

I sit in 104 behind the bench and from what i surmised is that ward was missing his defensive assignment and letting their 3 point shooter alone on the arc... just what i saw.
