GRIZ v DAWGS

26-22 Griz down with about 4 to go in the half. Had a couple more bad turnovers but also still causing turnovers. UW has 11 the Griz have 10. Griz still doing well on the glass too (16-11 with 9 offensive rebounds). Tough to get a shot off over UW players though, they have 7 blocks already and 7 steals. Every single one of them seems to have insane wingspan. Up to 10-28 shooting now.
 
12-0 run by the Griz. Griz up 29-26. Great ball movement the past few possessions for the Griz. About 2 1/2 mins to go.
 
33-32 Griz down by 1 at halftime. Griz did a great job coming back from being down by 10. Seem to have figured out ways to attack the Washington zone.

Akoh has 12 points, Moorehead and Rorie have 9 each, Oguine has 2. Falls with a couple nice assists but no points yet (only one shot taken though).

Washington seems to have some issues with half court offense. Many many of their points seem to come off of Griz turnovers when they can run and get an easy bucket in transition. Take a little better care of the ball and force them to set up their half court offense and the Griz can definitely win this game.
 
way to compete and not fold! rebounds are simply effort and they are winning that battle, take care of the ball and they can and should win the game. The Tech was questionable but did you notice the calls more less started to go the other way afterwards? sometimes you just gotta say ENUF of the bs calls..GO Griz
 
Washington on a 9-0 run with the Griz turning it over 4 times during that run. Have to take care of the ball against Washington or they get easy buckets on the other end. 42-36 with about 16 mins to go.
 
Different game, same story, same result for the Griz. They compete like crazy but the difference between them being what they are and winning a game or two in the Tourney is shooting. Good teams hit shots when they're wide open. The Griz don't (at least on a consistent basis). Decuire has to figure out how to get these guys to shoot better or there won't be any improvement.

UW up 51-44.
 
51-42 Wash lead....this is the most frustrating UM team I have seen in 40 years...they get leads and immediately stop scoring and let the other team pound them.....consistently UM has taken far more shots .
 
8:40 to go, Griz down by only 2, 54-52 after a couple Pridgett buckets. Griz with 16 offensive rebounds now.

Doh...two turnovers in a row and it's 56-52 now with about 7:40 to go. Griz killing Washington on the boards 34-21 but damn those turnovers (18 of them now) are killers.
 
56-52 UW...UM playing just sloppy enough with 16 turnovers already letting UW keep the lead but too many missed shots, as usual. Wven with this, they can win if they play decent, not even good, the rest of the game.
