GRIZ/UW game thread

Sheesh...where is the OLD Montana basketball? Hi lo , half court inside O and hustle back on D. IS IT THAT FRIKKIN DIFFICULT to recruit and coach, teach anyone on this team to post up and the others to feed the ball? How about running one set play?
 
I do not care who or how we create inside scoring, just do it!!!!!!!!! We do not even try posting up our guards or McGillis. I know McGillis could do well inside on 3's. He played inside for Hellgate, and often aginst bigger players. He scored almost at will inside and is stong enough to do it against most 3's.

There are times coaches have to get creative to shore up a weakness and this is one of those times.
 
10 points in the 1st 4 minutes. 11 the final 16!!!!!!!!! Seriously we ran very little offense that whole time. We have no offense, and appears that there is not even a glimmer of hope to find offensive continuity.

Comeon guys, these coaches and players have to be better than this! I better see the ball worked inside and ball movement the 2nd half, every game that goes by, I shake my head more and start to question this team more.

Please GRIZ play and coach the way I know you are capable of!
 
Sundberg quit stroking how good UW is. Tell us the truth, we are seeing it on TV, it is the GRIZ making them look like national champions. Our offense SUCKS!!!!!!!
 
I am so pissed right now. Is there any one positive in this game? Are we doing anything better on the court or coaching from the bench then we did when we were blown out by CSU? No damn excuses about missing guys or being sick , not having a leader,,,blah blah blah..
 
I know O'day and I can hear his voice shaking on the radio a bit right now. He say's wow we have to find somebody to "get hot" this half". Yep, that and maybe the roof will cave in from the snow and ice in Seattle and the game gets called..

Positives, I think our defense is improving, but still out of position some. McGillis and Johnson constantly play hard. If we continue to struggle like we are, we may be able to get our future more minutes sooner than later. Seriously, I have no idea why Selvig is not in there more with how week Qvale is offensively, and Hasquet being nonexistent in paint play on both ends.
 
Why is it every game, Tinkle states what is wrong at the half, yet the answers do not come? He just admitted we need to get the ball inside and get post touches. He is right, but how often will it happen?
 
Seriously..Tinkle said that?
Then he must be telling the team. Then they must be either unable to to it or insubordinate.
 
WOW, I do not believe it, another guard not named Johnson taking the ball to the paint. Nice job Taylor, now make the FTS.

All but Sharp hang on the perimeter. Taylor though is husting his ass off, maybe overdoing it, somewhat eratic, but I like that he is hustling.
 
This may be for a seperate thread but would we be any worse off with a starting line up of:
Sharp
Selvig
Taylor
Johnson
McGillis
 
I miss Chavez for his hustle, no fear of the boards and offensive strength and intensity. We dont have a Chavez and he wasn't even a starter.
