Griz Uniforms (Again)

Like what you did, here, my man. The Griz paw print on the shoulders is too much like Duck's feathers. Make it smaller to look like the paw print we're accustomed to. Also, turn print so claws are inside. Maybe paw print in maroon, gold or silver, not black as you have it. Not sure maroon outline of numbers is good. How about a gold outline instead of maroon? Still, bright maroon looks good.mx753 said:
Helmet concept looks good. Like the "UM" logo on the front. How about showing a center silver stripe w/ gold outline? Could be bright maroon outline. Gold & silver are genuine UM colors. Any presentation of the helmet from the side? Appreciate what you do, man. :clap:

Nice. I'd like this as a special, once-per-year jersey. In general, though, I hope the Griz stop sacrificing tradition for the sake of trend.
Maroon on black won't look good, except in the best lighting conditions. This also makes it look too much like pink. If we're going to put the Griz logo on a dark helmet, I'd like it to have light trim around the letters to give it definition.
I like the paw concept a lot.
The size of "Montana" is perfect. Bigger isn't better -- this doesn't need to be a billboard.

Like all your comments, SirG, except I don't see these uni's as special occasion unis. Kids these days don't care re: tradition. Well, they do, but not to the extent we old fogies do. (You're 40? You're not a fogy? I apologize.) Anyway, I agree maroon has to be out. I believe a gold outline of the silver number would be great. True UM colors.SirGriz said:

call me what ya like I'm only 28 but love the old colors. Well, it's hard to see what the base color of the helmet is. Is it black? Is it silver? Seems to depend on how the light shows on it. I guess a major decision is whether or not to retain maroon. I think the gold nos. w/ yellow outline are yucky. Is that a black uniform? Again, it depends on the light. But, I appreciate your hard work.

I am "old school" so I'd like to see more use of the Copper/Silver/Gold in the "Nike" uniforms. I know the knock on the old jerseys was the "Texas Orange" used as the Copper...BUT COME ON THIS IS 2011 graphics and technology with colors is 10,000% better than 20 years ago.
I would suggest a "Metallic Copper" like the color you see on Copper colored cars, the Helmets that were part of the BAD Halloween Griz/Cat uniforms were nice, combine this with metallic copper uniforms with Gold Bear Claws on the shoulder pads.
Just a thought.
