I've never been a big fashionista re: uniforms, but football fashion is big in college football. So, I'm changing my opinions/prejudices, etc. I had no use for black in Griz uniforms, but I think it's the thing. The black uniforms in the Griz/Cat game w/ the halloween orange was not good, IMO.
All black would be ok, if say, the numbers were silver w/ gold piping. Maybe have Griz paw prints in silver on the shoulders like the duck feathers on Duck uni's. "White" uniforms would be silver and have black nos. w/ gold piping. Paw prints would be in gold. Pants would have simple stripes on the outside, colored like the jerseys. Hate to admit it, but maroon has to be out. It's important that the light color is silver and not gray. There is a difference, IMO.
Helmets: I like the flat black helmets of the Ducks. Black helmets would have the Griz logo in silver w/ maybe gold outline. Maybe a silver stripe w/ gold outline, center, front to back. Silver helmets would have the Griz logo in black, outlined w/ gold. Or, maybe gold outlined w/ black. The center stripe would be black w/ gold outline, or gold w/ black outline.
Shoes & gloves: Black shoes w/ silver accent for black uni's, silver shoes w/ black accent for silver uni's. Gloves, the same.
I prefer player names on the back of jerseys, because hate to admit it, I forget player names esp. when watching on TV. (I am not a Griz football cognoscenti. I like to see who's getting up from a pile. Announcers ignore a lot. Also, I don't have to keep flipping to the program.) "MONTANA" on the front, above the no., is fine.
Other eGrizzers may have other ideas & they have said so in earlier topics. Maybe Willie could post a rendition of what I've described. No?
