Yes, one of those road wins was in Missoula last year. UNC wins are against Chadron St., Black Hills,Colorado Christian, Florida A&M (D1) and Stetson (D1). All by 20 or more points, and Jacksonville St (D1). Those teams must really suck. Stetson's only D1 win was also over Florida A&M. Florida A&M is 0-11, and ranked 351 out of 351 D1 teams, Stetson is #326, Jacksonville St #309. So UNC hasn't beat anyone all year. Let's not get too excited yet. UNC is #239, Montana #199 for the record.
Yes, UNC looked pretty bad out there. However this is the same UNC team that did give Colorado State a good game so they have the potential to look pretty good too.
The Griz D I thought looked very impressive. UNC, while not having a good record, was one of the top FG% teams in the country (was #26 if I remember right). The Griz held them well below their average shooting percentage and 27 points below their average points scored (they were averaging just over 75 points a game).
And how often have we outrebounded UNC over the past several years? Not many times. That alone is worth celebration after they outrebounded us 31-15 last year in Missoula...that was ugly. Barden only had 6 of their rebounds so it wasn't all him either.
I do agree though we can't get too excited yet, the season is still young. Just like we can't get too down if we have a bad looking loss. Was a fun game to watch though that's for sure. Looking forward to the UND game tomorrow!
