We bus to play the Shi##y Kitties in Boz Angeles, Idaho State in Pocatello, the Idaho Mr. Potato Heads in Moscow, the EWU War Sparrows in Cheney, and maybe even all the way south to play Weber in Northern Utah, but the team is on the plane fir trips to Portland, Greeley, Flagstaff, Davis, Sacramento and San Luis Obispo. If the game is within 300 miles, it makes financial sense to " Fly The Hound !!! " ( as in Greyhound. )
Rocky Mountsin College here in Billings played the U of Southern Oregon in Oct., and the " Battlin' Bears " rode the bus from Billings to Ashland, Oregon, just 14 miles north of the Calif. border, a distance of 1,074 miles, 20 + hours in The Battlin' Bears Bus, a trip that tested the faith of these Rocky students, a small Protestant school in Billings of about 1,000 students. Rocky, Montana' first college founded in 1878, was established by the Methodist and Presbyterian churches, and is an NAIA school in The Frontier Conference.
The bad news:
The Battlin' Bears got thumped 54-14 by the USO Raiders.
And several Rocky players developed pressure sores on their butts from sitting 20 + hours on the bus.
And the bus had to stop about every eight hours to empty the bus' on-board toilet's tanks.
The good news: The Battlin' Bears can tell interested parties now the location and hours of every Subway located between Billings and Ashland !!!
