25.06 wishes he was at least average in SOMEthing.

The good news is he'll completely disappear when an "average" Canada puts up 185 and 4 in bozo in the Griz blowout. The bad news is we all gotta wait until then.
Is this you calling your shot? 185yds and 4 TDs?

Taking all bets!

I bet he's a hell of a lot closer to those numbers than he is to "average".

But I'm guessing you both already knew that.
I never mentioned anything. I'm sure he's just fine. All I asked is if you are making a proclomation that he will have 185yds and 4TDs.

Yes.

In precisely the same way IQ25.06 proclaimed him average. You're an msu grad, but I'm certain you can understand the concept.

Oh hey, isn't Canada still on the team? Idiot

average RB at best

5.0 YPC. I'll take that "average" all day long.

But, given what Dan Moore and Peter Nguyen have done to the vaunted Bobscat defense the past couple years, I can see why 'scat fans might be breathing a big sigh of relief that THOSE two are gone...

actually we could go a step farther and say Canada is terrible. because I've heard kirk is just awful and at best average. yet his numbers shatter those of Canada. sticking with averages CK is still better. averages 5.2 per carry and has 29 td's to Canada's 5.0 average and 13 td's. receiving CK averages almost 11 yards a catch to Canada's almost 8.

keep in mind these pissing matches are just that. and while 2506's sole purpose of this board is to talk trash, I don't think his statement was too far off. that...or there is a small chance that griz fans aren't being realistic in terms of kirk. or...gasp...maybe there are people simply unable to be objective when talking about players of your bitter rival. :o

Here's the thing: I couldn't care less what Kirk's #'s are against other teams. We OWN him...plain and simple...and conversely, we have run AT WILL against the 'scat's defense in recent years. I expect this year to be no different in that regard.

Review Kirk's numbers against Montana. Not so relaxing for a catfan.

Turn off the "super dick mode" for a moment. I asked a simple question, I'm sorry you always have to be a douche about everything. I've never said anything about Canada, I'm sure he'll play great, all I wanted to know is that was your "Babe Ruth Moment."
Leave your vitrol for 2506, he's a huge ass, but I'm certain you can understand the concept...

no disagreement there. I've been pretty vocal about my frustrations of the entire team come the middle of November, kirk included. but i'll be honest; I don't care if he rushes for 6 yards if the cats get the win in the end. that's why his numbers in cat-griz have been way less frustrating for me then his numbers against shsu the last two years. :(

Said it already, but I'll say it again. A TON of what resulted in stats and performance of McGhee and Kirk is on the strength of their OL. There production was way down when MSU's inexperience OL had to play against strong front 7s. In that SHSU game, it wouldn't have mattered who MSU lined up in the back field, there was nowhere to go. You have to look at the whole story. Comparing stats is only part of the equation.

Wasn't trying to be a dick. Sorry it came across that way. But you'll note i was actually replying to 22, who was a littke dickiish himself.

But, to answer your question, no I'm not predicting that result.

It's fine. I try not to make predictions, you never know what can happen. All I know is that I'll be there, whether or not they are any good.

BINGO ... Finally someone who knows football! Kind of hard to go forward when you have 2 guys on you (SHSU) when you take the handoff.

I'll make the cat griz prediction. Griz win 42-21 this will be the final score..... mark my words!
And Kirk goes down with a season ending knee injury, while DM goes out with a concussion from a big hit by Tripp late in the game. The only injured griz the coach Deleny, DM ran right into coach after the crippling hit Tripp handed out. :-)

here you go cat fans scratch away!

I'm a Griz fan but I would never wish an injury to a Cat player or other opponent. It's downright trash. I believe the Griz are good enough to beat the Cats while they [MSU] come in firing on all cylinders. That is the game I want.

Your worst fear is realized, it was his knob adjusting hand. What is griz nation to do?! I say we amputate and put a prosthetic on in time for next weeks game. If our coach can't hear we are DOOMED!

Ha! I imagine him shouting commands to his players whilst boogs fly from his nose trying to adjust the volume on his head set with his new prosthetic hand all at once.:-)

Sorry 2506 but you are losing this argument.

I don't agree that he's losing this one. He already pointed out a couple facts that I had heard as well, the new OC likes to design plays with more QB runs, and also we have the luxury of being able to take a few more chances with DM because there are several very talented QB's ready to take over, and two of these QB's (Bleskin and Prukop) are being very highly touted by everyone. Last year could have been a train wreck had DM gone down, but now we finally have talented depth at the QB position. This is why we are likely going to see more running plays out of DM... not because Kirk's injury didn't heal, or because we are screwed at the RB position as WY suggests. That's just not true... and you'll all get to see our running game on display here in about 5 weeks or so. And regarding the poster that said we might be worse at OL than last year... I can absolutely promise you we'll be significantly better. Last year Mac had 8 bodies to work with in Spring camp. This year he had 14. At one point last year we were starting four Freshmen and a Sophomore along the O line. Pretty amazing that there were able to pave the way to an 11-2 season. If people still want to argue about how bad our running game is going to suck, maybe we can place a wager on whether or not we'll have better rushing numbers than last year?
