No junk here.

Perhaps I have a different opinion of this oft posted photo...I view it and think that that little Benedict Arnold bastard needs to be spanked and grounded for posing with a cat after that loss...

Tell me what would you rather have going into the season with a returning known good RB (Jordan Canada), and a backup that has played and done very well
(Travon Van) and then a couple of unknown (Joey Counts, Jamal Wilson, Gavin Hagfors, Treshawn Favors). Or do you prefer that your whole RB group (if Kirk goes down again or doesn't return from his injury) is basically unknown (Shawn Johnson, Chad Newell, Nick LaSane, Cody Dopps, Gunnar Brekke, Morris Gates-Mouton, Cody Vitt) and hope that at least one will step up

Still ducking the issue, huh? Try and answer the question that I've placed before you without asking a question in return, please. Or is the subject matter really a major concern for the MSU Bobcats and they just can't deal with it? It won't just be the Griz drooling on the defensive front this coming season. It'll be all other opponents as well. This especially if the Bobcats have but a Shawn Johnson (all 5'9" and 172 lbs of him) and a group of rookie running backs protecting their QB on blocking assignments if and whenever the Bobcat QB goes back for a pass. Hence the perceived reason on just why it is that DeNarius McGhee is being groomed into learning running plays out of formation from the QB position. Sure, you can vanilla it all you want but there has to be a reason. The reason evidently is that that is not confronted by the MSU Bobcat fans in this thread. The fear that Cody Kirk has not come back from his injury, or just might go down with a recurrance of that selfsame injury, and the subsequent running game handed to primarily, if not in total, an inexperienced and untested running back corps in the above mentioned list of candidates. Of which only one is an upperclassman (Shawn Johnson) while all others are freshmen!
I'm not worried about Kirk at all, from what I have heard he is ready for his senior campaign, however that being said he or any player on either team can take an injury before the first game is even played, if that happens I have confidence that our group of RB's will step up to the plate, on your side, you are just hoping that one DOES step up because all yuo have are hopes and dreams without any proven talent carrying the ball.
Oh hey, isn't Canada still on the team? Idiot

McGhee and Kirk are among the best players at their respective positions in the FCS. Pure bias to believe otherwise. In the SHSU game last year, MSU was dominated in the trenches, DM had very very little time to operate and Kirk had to plow through brick walls to get any sort of yardage. If MSU's OL improves, they will be putting up a lot of points. I think we will have among the best OL in the country, especially with Poole back. If our WRs and RBs can step up and our coordinators are able to put together decent game plans, we could have a breakout year on offense in my opinion. UM and MSU will be fighting for the top of the standings along with EWU, Poly, and possibly Sac St.

I swear this is all the cat fans use for defense its starting to get a little pathetic...

Hmmm, so we need to "defend" him now? Oh that's right... I guess we do. See? Many of you DO need us obnoxious CAT fans on here to correct things. So far we have the following opinions of DM:

He's:

Slow
Bad decisions when pocket breaks down
Bad passer
Can't perform under pressure
A prick, teammates dislike him
A pussy
Can't win big games
Too short
Not durable

And let's not forget... Injured shoulder didn't heal, career ender. Also Transferring to TCU.

Did I miss anything?

Small hands, can't hold the ball in cold weather, you forgot that one. Ha

Smells like cabbage

Hunts for Easter eggs on Halloween

Took Dorothy Mantooth out to dinner and didn't call her back

Had a Zune instead of an iPod

Doesn't tip the housekeeping when at a hotel

Wore a "vote or die" shirt in 2004 and forgot to vote

Watches the Kardashians

Tape recorded UM boosters giving cookies to players after football games

Was a student juror on JJ's student court

Ya know... All the good stuff that makes us hate him.

Oh hey, isn't Canada still on the team? Idiot

average RB at best

25.06 wishes he was at least average in SOMEthing.

The good news is he'll completely disappear when an "average" Canada puts up 185 and 4 in bozo in the Griz blowout. The bad news is we all gotta wait until then.

5.0 YPC. I'll take that "average" all day long.

But, given what Dan Moore and Peter Nguyen have done to the vaunted Bobscat defense the past couple years, I can see why 'scat fans might be breathing a big sigh of relief that THOSE two are gone...

actually we could go a step farther and say Canada is terrible. because I've heard kirk is just awful and at best average. yet his numbers shatter those of Canada. sticking with averages CK is still better. averages 5.2 per carry and has 29 td's to Canada's 5.0 average and 13 td's. receiving CK averages almost 11 yards a catch to Canada's almost 8.

keep in mind these pissing matches are just that. and while 2506's sole purpose of this board is to talk trash, I don't think his statement was too far off. that...or there is a small chance that griz fans aren't being realistic in terms of kirk. or...gasp...maybe there are people simply unable to be objective when talking about players of your bitter rival. :o

Discussions about the Cats on this board are about as objective as anything Griz-related on BCN, or anything Cat-tard 2506 pukes out of his pie hole

...in fact that goes for any rival-related talk on any sports team message board in the history of the internets. Not sure why some of you Cat fans can't understand that, and yet you're constantly crying about it over here (even the good-natured ones like ILTC :) )

I bet he's a hell of a lot closer to those numbers than he is to "average".

But I'm guessing you both already knew that.

well to be clear I wasn't crying to anyone. actually the opposite. that's why I love this board so much. it's just great. I was simply using actual numbers to show that Canada and Kirk are actually very similar and if we're being honest they either both suck, both are average, or both are awesome! :thumb:

I think its fair to say the cats will find it difficult to run against us and will rely heavely on dm's arm. I believe the cats o-coordinator came from pass happy New Hampshire. Not sure but I think so! One unknown is that Wilson kid who transferred in from Boise. A 238lb fullback. Don't know much about him. Is he playing running back or LB?
