Fans traveling to the Spokane/Cheney area for the Montana-Eastern Washington football game on Saturday, Sept. 29, will have two options to help them get into game mode prior to the clash between the Grizzlies and Eagles at Roos Field.

The Grizzly Scholarship Association will be hosting a social on Friday night and a pregame tailgate Saturday afternoon. Both events are open to all Griz fans.

The social will take place at the Pavilion at Northern Quest Casino from 6-8 p.m. Light appetizers will be available, as well as a cash bar. No RSVP is required.
The pregame tailgate will be hosted at Sutton Park, just down the road from Roos Field. It will run from 1:30-3:30 p.m. (PT).
Kickoff is at 4 p.m. (PT).
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and there will be Griz giveaways.

Sutton Park is straight south of the Roos Field, about 650 yards: at the corner of Washington Street, which runs past the stadium, and 7th Avenue.

Since leaving the stadium heading north is a traffic nightmare. IMHO, to minimize the traffic headache, park south of the stadium, across from Sutton Park, with the main Griz tailgating contingency and walk to the stadium from there. When you leave, head south to Lt. Col. Michael P. Anderson Memorial Hwy, a.k.a. W 1st St, and head north from there to I-90W or east if you are heading to I-90E.
