I realize we were trying to milk the clock in the second half but we ran it up the middle almost every time on first down for minimal gains. We actually do that a lot on first down and it did let the cats back in the game. I hope we stay aggressive with our passing attack in the playoffs and pass more on first to keep the d honest.
You don't milk the clock for an entire half of football, especially against a great offense who can score quickly. Stitt ran up the middle on first and second down on every possession in the third quarter and only when he allowed the Cats back into the game, did he go back to running his offense, which IMMEDIATELY put more points on the board and throttled any thoughts the Cats had of winning.
