GRIZ Semo game thread

R-E-L-A-X people.

Great team win and hats off to a total 2nd half dominance from a team who I am sure went into this game with lots of doubts, and more questions than answers as to the legacy they would leave after last week if this was their last game. Could this be the start of a great playoff run? We will see, but all I know is no matter what happens next week and beyond, any loses this team may endure going forward won’t be because of lack of heart or effort. Great job, Griz!!

I must say, the best part of this win for me was being in a bar in Cape Giradeau, Also, my relative said the third quarter was the best of the Giz. I pointed him to the 2009 SDSU game.

Outstanding! In keeping with the Rodney Dangerfield theme, They earned 20 bucks the hard way!

Just got back from the game. Best 20 minutes in a long time.

-Despite the low attendance (14k fans) that place was still loud. I suppose anyone that comes to a chilly 8PM game are the fans that cheer the loudest.anyways.

-Unsung heroes are the CBs. We left those boys out their on an island to play man-to-man. This allowed our LBs to play up close and keep #6 in check and blitz their QB.

-Bobby Ball paid off and gave us that spark. Junior Bergen is still under utilized. You can line him up anywhere on offense and he causes fits as a RB with WR speed.

-Lots of groaning about Lucas Johnson's terrible 1st half. Seemed like his footwork was off... causing bad throws. Dude fixed it and got us going.

-SEMO was a very good offense. Their defense did better than I expected. Not a very disciplined team at all. Refs could've thrown more flags with their extra curricular chatter to include taunting the crowd. Not sure if it's a SEMO thing or just southern football lack of discipline.

Just got back as well, and agree wholeheartedly. It was a fun night. Enjoy that trip back to Missouri boys. Especially that offensive line. Hope you find someone else to release your roid rage on during the long trip back.

I told my buddy about the SDSU comeback at halftime. There was a hunch we were never out of this game. Was a great game then and great game tonight as well. Go Griz!

I told my buddy about the SDSU comeback at halftime because of the connection to Marc at the time. Was a great game then and great game tonight as well. Go Griz!
A funny story after that game. My buddy and I made a bee-line for the Press Club where we encountered a group of Jackrabbit fans in the side room carrying on like a celebration. It turned out they left at the end of the 3rd quarter when they were up 48-27 to get a head start on the celebration and didn't get the memo that the Griz had a 34-0 4th quarter. God, it was fun bringing them down. I swear there was some crying....

I must say (with a very scratchy voice)reading some of the crap on here, I am so glad I was there and didn’t have a chance to drown in the negativity on here. Go Griz!!
