Go back and watch Brian Quayle as a freshman, not a whole lot different than Kramer is now. Give him some time to develop and sitting on the bench is not going to improve his game. Ten minutes a game to spell Akoh will help him get there. You need to remember he just barely turned 18 and his upside is good. He is still growing into his body. He may never be another BQ but he has the frame to be a 8-12 pt. per game contributor.

Yeah, Kramer is no Qvale. Never will be either. That is fine so long as he can develop as a role player.

Is Kramer still trying to catch his breath from playing so much against Arizona? He played so well, by far his best showing of the year last game

If Akoh is healthy, he won't play much. He's tall and can affect/block a shot or 2 on defense, but scoring 2 pts (on 2 un-contested dunks) in 30 and 22 minutes (vs Arizona and Coll/Idaho) doesn't cut it in my book. He has no D1 offense skills whatsoever besides the occasional dunk. He's young and maybe he will develop some moves, but he has absolutely no low-post game at all,even against College of Idaho he was afraid to make a move. He's an emergency guy only right now.

Well said and similar to what I commented on after the AZ game although a few seemed to think his play was outstanding. Carter isn't much better but he is better.

I stand corrected. Kelby Kramer was born 8/99 which makes him 19 yrs and 4 months. Although he was a late developer, played tennis until he grew to big.

I appreciate the info, and I DO have hope he will develop an offensive game in the coming years.

Yeah I agree I was just surprised to see Carter ahead of him in the rotation. All year I have been a bigger fan of Carter he just looks a lot more steady on his feet, but so far it seems like he is behind Kramer on the depth chart. Vs Az was the first game where I thought hey there is something there with Kramer maybe he can become a good defender and then develop a little scoring like Kriszlovic did later in his career. But I would rank our secondary bigs Carter, Kramer, Anderson....Anderson looks the most athletic and the most like a basketball player but the game looks like it moves to fast for him he has so many fumbled passes and bad turnovers not great basketball IQ at this point.

Akoh is the only legit "big" at this point. Hate to say it but none of the other 3 will be able to fill his position effectively next year.

Capacity is around 6500. I didn't watch on TV, so I didn't get a visual of the crowd. You'd think Jack's basketball would be about the only going in Brookings in December, but you could say the same thing about Missoula as well.

They probably don't "fudge" their attendance like UM does. When we say they are 3500 ppl at a game, it usually means 2000-2500. Brookings official population is only 22,000 and almost nobody that goes to school at SDSU is actually from Brookings, so 95% of the enrollment was elsewhere for holiday-break. 15% of the cities population was at the game, something Missoula (pop 72,000) will NEVER be able to attain
