A second (class of '15) California H. S. point guard has been reported by Verbalcommits.com to have been offered a scholarship by Travis Decuire's Montana Grizzlies.

Michael Oguine -- a junior point guard who led his West Hills Chaminade College Prep H.S. team (north of LA) to the 2014 California Div III state championship with 26 points and 13 rebounds -- will be a senior this year.

Coverage of the state Div III title game, won 71-51 over San Anselmo Francis Drake H. S.? Yep. You can read the LA Times story here: http://articles.latimes.com/2014/mar/28/sports/la-sp-state-basketball-boys-20140329" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Oguine is ranked by Verbal Commits as a 2.5 star point guard, while Scout.com has him ranked at 3 stars and EXPN at 2 stars.

You can view championship game video coverage here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgYn0Il9Ex8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (several impressive clips of Oguine!)

DeCuire is firing offers. We talked about recruiting at GRIZ camp. His attitude is, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. He knows damn well, all he needs is to get 1 or 2 of these guys each season to commit. Can't get commits without offering. WTG GRIZ coaches!!

I think that this coaching staff will be able to land very good talent like this kid. Jamar opened doors for UM in SoCal. Chaminade was really a good team...had the kind of team effort UM has shown in the recent past. No great standouts but coached well enough to win the State title and that is something~!
