Check out #15 and #16 on this list of the Top 20 recruits in the state of Washington this year. Also, see Baker at the bottom in "Just missed the cut". The Griz are getting some good ones. Hope they stick with the coaching change. There are also some uncommitted players on the list I hope the Griz go after especially #14 - he sounds like a great fit for the Griz. High school football in the state of Washington is very competitive. I love our Bellevue pipeline that has provided many good players from one of the best programs in the country. EWU reloads primarily with Washington state recruits who just miss the PAC 12 and MWC - the Griz should follow their lead. Lots of very good players to be had there.

#15 Neale and Baker are both playing in the 3A State Championship vs powerhouse Bellevue tonight (Fri Dec 5). It will be on Root Sports (ch 60 or 560 on Charter cable). It will be partially preempted tonight on Charter by Utah Jazz NBA game (ugh!!) but starts at 10 pm Mountain time on Root and then will be reshown multiple times in its entirety on Root, the next time Sat Dec 6 at 5:30 Mountain time. The top classification in Washington is 4A but the 3A teams have been better mainly because Bellevue is 3A and is nationally ranked every year. Same is true for basketball - the 3A seattle metro teams like Rainier Beach are better than the 4A teams most years.

15) Eastside Catholic (Sammamish) OL Alex Neale– From a technical standpoint, there isn’t a better offensive lineman in the state than Neale. He’s got a strong lower-body and he’s much more athletic than people give him credit for. His biggest drawback has been his height and that is why he’ll be playing at the FCS level instead of at a Mountain West type school. Watch for Neale to go on and have an outstanding career with the Grizzlies. Status: Committed to Montana

16) Wenatchee LB Cy Sirmon – Sirmon has a great pedigree – his father and both uncles and grandfather all played football at the FCS or FBS level. Sirmon is a great “between the tackles” linebacker, able to fill gaps physically and shed blockers. His struggles come when he’s asked to play in space as he’s a bit on the stiff side. He’s worked tremendously to turn that weakness into a strength and it paid off this season, but he’s a great fit at Montana and he’ll have a solid career there. Status: Committed to Montana

Do you know what numbers they are on their team or are their names on their jerseys?

per the Eastside Catholic roster:
Baker #62
Neale #70
They do not have names on the back of their jerseys. They all have a cross.
I watched them play on Root Sports vs Odea from Seattle (coached by Missoula native and Loyola grad Monte Kohler for the past 30 years or so), and both players looked very good.

Eastside Catholic rolled Bellevue in a shocker for 3A title in washington. Broke Bellevues 67 game winnng streak. Griz verbal committs Cody Baker (OL/DL #62 6'4", 245, DL for Griz) and Alex Neale (#70, OL , 6'3" 270) both looked good. They interviewed Baker after the game and he said he and Neale are going to tear it up at Montana next year - he cant wait and will be watching the Griz tomorrow. Sounded like a good kid. Taylor Barton, the Root Sports high school expert commentator said Baker is going to be a "Phenom" at the next level. Said the 2 Griz lineman recruits and the rest of the line dominated the line of scrimmage which was the difference in the game. Many replays of game will aire on Root Sports over the next week including saturday night at 5:30 Mtn time. Fun to watch big and talented future Griz.
