Good to see the Griz are recruiting Robby. He was on a recruiting trip to Cal Poly the weekend they played the Griz (not great exposure for the Griz that weekend for sure). Not sure about other Big Sky schools that may be after him.

Three MSU coaches follow him on twitter: Ty, Michael Pitre, and BJ Robertson. He is interested but you have to think if the Griz give him an offer he would jump at it.

Yep. Tim Hauck was a better football player, but Nate was as sure of a tackler in the open field as they come. They learn open field tackling in 8 man football. If he was near them, they were down.

He finished 9th in the state of California in tackles with 179 :shock: . And he did that in 11 games, which is fewer than most of the guys above him. Hope we can land this kid, we need a guy like him.

Robby reminds me of his uncle Tim almost 30 years ago-- Bobby's son looks like he likes to hit people and from his highlight film, he's a good open-field tackler ... just like his uncle.

Given his talent and his family's connection to UM, I really hope Coach Semore and Stitt go after him and sign him !!!

Exactly what I thought. Even if he wasn't a Hauck, you could make that comparison. Beautiful tackling. Excellent technique. Text book tackles that entire highlight video. Like Tim, he plays with a lot of aggression and fearlessness, which are two attributes that can make up for a lack of size. Also appears to have a very high IQ, which can make up for speed. The one question for me is his closing speed. He appears to have some speed and quickness, but how would he do in pass coverage against larger faster D1 receivers? One thing I can tell you, it would hate to see him lined up against us on another BSC team...
