Griz recruit Gus Chase Stats:

TOUCHDOWN

Well-known member
Gus was hammpered by some foul trouble last night in Sheridan Colleges win over North Dakota State College of Science 108-93. He had two quick fouls and sat out the rest of the first half after only playing around 2 minutes or so. He ended the game with 12 points ond 10 rebounds. This win may push SC into the top twenty as NDSCS was a very good BB team and won three games in the National torunament last year.

I don't understand juco sports.

Do people go the games? or care about them? How do coaches find out about the players?

Yes believe it or not, we usually draw a fair size crowd at the games here in Sheridan. The Golden Dome holds around 2500 and we seem to have a good following of fans. I know our coaches have a lot of contacts around the country, former players etc. We seem to get a lot of players from the Baltimore Md. area as our former players will recommend players and incourage them to give us a try. Sometimes Div I coaches will want a future player who may have a grade problem to go the JC route for two years to get there grades turned around and then recruit them to there school from there. Other than that, it is about all the imput I can put in.

Through 14 games, Gus is averaging 17.9 pts and 6.9 boards. Sheridan is 12-2 and has won 11 straight.

We will be loaded on the inside next year, but I'm a bit concerned about our perimeter game past Martin.

I think Mayes (sp) might be the answer to that.
