Not having roster limit, not wasting $200,000 a year, and not having athletic dept minions running NIL.
Maybe Bobby wants to be able to fundraise for NIL. With schools being able to revenue share, I can’t imagine the rule against helping an NIL will last long. Maybe they don’t want the players to have to do anything to get paid.
Paying NIL is one thing. But paying money to play or stay is objectionable to me.
Is it clear that “revenue sharing” can be funded by funds raised by the university? Can the funds come from the foundation? Is or should it be tax deductible for donors to funnel cash to players?
DEI is going away for now. But Title IX isn’t. The football team isn’t going to be able to keep most of the money. Is it better for university administrators to decide who gets the money rather Welnel et al?
Seems like this will be good for lesser sports and women.
