GRIZ/PSU game thread

Hasquet even plays close to his normal game, and we win. That has to be Hasquet's most disappointing game since his Freshman year.

6 games that ended almost the same way. How can you possibly lose all six?

Seems like they found a different way to lose each one...

The good news is that EWU lost...so, the Griz maintain that 6th seed into the BSC tourney! :lame:

I am sorry but I honestly would have either Qvale or Vanderjagt in there all the time for defense. When Qvale is not in there we struggle because of no presence in the middle. I want to see a 3 man forward rotation, 2 man center rotation, and 4 man guard rotation. Tonight would have been a good time to try Graves on the quick Dominguez that killed us in the 2nd half.

Sorry, but I'm not going to pin my hopes on backing into the BSC tourney. This team is an underachieving joke. I'm tuning out till next year. This season is over!

Why be a fairweathered fan?
I'm still hanging around but I don't think a team could be any tougher on its fans. I've been cheering for sports teams my entire life (just 21 years) and I've never come across a team that took this much out of you.

From a talent standpoint UM should be a top team in the conference. This team will probably finish as the fifth or sixth seed going into the tournament. There is too much talent compared to the other teams not to.

Between now and then they just need to figure out that it takes a consistent high effort for the entire game. The seniors should be able to convey that to the rest of the team. UM can still be very dangerous come conference time and the way this conference is anybody can win it.

I still have no doubts that these guys could win the BSC Tourney. It just sucks that the BSC champion will most likely get a 15th or 16th seed in the NCAA this year due to the conference play and I was hoping for better.

exact same thinking. To be honest, thought we'd sweep home OOC games, win 2 of 3 in cali then lose 2 or less in conference. this team just seemed so talented and looked so great after the thanksgiving tourney.

How can Martin get only 17 minutes? He single-handedly brings the team back into the game in the first half. He scores 15 and 4-4 shooting, including 3-3 from 3-pt. range, in the first half. He has 5 assists for the game--which is equal to the total of the other 3 guards combined. He's 4-4 from the freethrow line, taking 4 of the teams 7 freethrows. No turnovers. He gets 1 shot in the second half. I didn't see or listen to the game, but this looks funny to me.

As someone else has mentioned, how does our big lineup get outrebounded 24-32 and 3-8 on the offensive glass?
