It is amazing what a big road win in conference will do for chemistry. Now they need to get greedy and win at EWU for a sweep. If EWU loses to msu, that will be a tough task.

First place Grizzlies! I like how that sounds, especially after a less than stellar non-conference run...

Unlike football, there are no easy ones in hoops this season, especially on the road. Tinks just grew those 3" back he lost the last couple games. He will be fun on the post game show, polar opposite if the last game.

3 of 4 BSC teamns get road breakthroughs tonight.

mus held on to beat EWU 82-79, (3 pointer at the horn) That will help the Griz down the road, but EWU had to be looking past msu.

How was stuckey's back? Spasms can be a real pain. Look what they've done to tracy mcgrady over the past year or so.

I was hoping EWU Ranger would give us an update. He will be here in full force Saturday. No way Stuckey sits against the Griz, especially after losing to the cats, EWU cannot afford to go down 0-2 at home to start league. Road breakthroughs are too tough to get, tonight being an exception.

Not sure I will be. Girlfriend is in town and may be going skiing. What time is the game at?

yayy we won our 1st conference game! Congrats to the Griz, I'll bet last years buzzer beater and then the punch thrown stuck in the mind of the returning bball players.

Yeah, Stu (who i was repeatedly reminded scored 13 points in OT last year) was definitely hungry coming off the bench.

maybe in warmups, but it didn't sound like a very physical game listening to it, and Mick generally will say so if it is. I am sure the Refs told the Captains before the game they would be watching close. The Refs did call a pretty tight game, come to think of it. Great win for the Griz, msu upsetting EWU is going to piss of the Eagles. They had to be looking past msu.

I see, maybe they just decided to respond with some solid play instead of physical play. Although just scanning through the thread I see that there were quite a few fouls dished out.

The refs were trying to stay ahead of this one tonight. Lotta soft fouls called.

As I mentioned, the refs called a tight game, but I only heard Tinks get on a ref once or twice. With 500 fans it was easy to hear him.

Wayne...

I'll call him Wayne, because 'Tinkle' or 'Tinks' is just plain wrong.

I like the way that Wayne controls himself. Larry was a nightmare with the throwing of the clipboard.

Just some cents from someone outside the circle...

I only refer to him as Tinks since that is all I have ever called him since he played. I am curious what your impressions of the game where since I assume you were there. It seemed from listening to it the refs were calling it pretty tight. Do you think that was because of last season?

Was there any mention in the post game about Chavez? I was surprised that he did not see any playing time. Maybe it was a matchup issue or the fact that Dlouhy & Hasquet were hitting their shots.

Nope, nothing on it. This frontcourt is just loaded with talent.
