Griz Pride!!

I thought I would share an experience I had at a local fundraiser, that to me brought a great sense of what it means to be a proud Griz fan.
I live in what I consider to be the best community in montana with the main blood being agriculture. As far as fan base I would say we are split 50/50 with the cats. The past couple years the local cat fans have gotten out of control as far as talk is concerned, after last years beating we laid on them in Bozo they shut up, until all the rape stuff came up, then the doors opened wider then ever. Which leads me to my post.

We had a local fundraiser for woman with cancer, on the list of items to be auctioned off were two T-Shirts, one was a bobcat and the other a Griz. I made a special request to have the Griz go last. The bobcat shirt sold the first time through for 80.00 the buyer was generous enuf to donate it back and auction it again the buyers seemed to leave, two people bid it up to 60.00 and that is where it ended the bobcat shirt brought a total of 140.00. Not too bad! I shouted out 150.00 for the the Griz shirt (I couldnt stand the thought of the cat shirt bringing more then the Griz) I thought I would own it for that, however I ended paying 260.00 for the shirt and donated it back. The Griz fans in attendance just kept giving and donating back until they finally had to say, No More!!! They had more items to auction, I will say the Griz shirt brought almost 1000.00.. It made me proud to be a Griz fan that night. Even in these tuff times the Griz fans of my community pulled together and stood for a good cause.. And showed all thoughs big mouth cat fans that we are not afraid to put our money where our mouth is. GRIZ PRIDE
Thanks for the good info on this site! Keep the pride alive!
