Griz Press Conference Recap

Cat-Griz game where Rocky Klever took tons of direct snaps completely flummoxed a better Cat team, and the Griz walked away with a 24-8 win. My favorite game by far during my years as a student.

Is there any old video of the Rocky Klever 1978 Griz -Cat game anywhere ? :?: I have not seen it.

One little item that is great for our crowds and our football players is a sneaky trick play. It simply lets everyone know we are thinking of everyone. Gives great enthusiam for the team and can start a roll of momentum. It puts the other team on their backs and it makes them watch for every potential play that might fool them. Nope, I am not saying a trick play can win the game but it carries over game to game.

Lets face it our offense is stodgy. Same plays in sequence, same old same old. We need to put in a fool everyone play. Yes this old fan loves to see the ball in the air and the many plays but I can't remember us playing a good team that we "wore them out" in the 4th quarter.

Now back to the cheap red tawdry turf we face, I think we beat these turd birds!

You weren't paying attention!! Our first play during the NAU game was a trick play... it was a Gustafson keeper!! Nobody was expecting that! Also... Are you insinuating that our runs up the middle for 1 yard on every 1st and 10 hasn't caught people off guard? Ha ha

Good recap and nice to see Stitt showing class and responsibility. I agree things will be different next week. If we lose it won't be because of lack of effort.

I agree... I think this might be a turning point for Stitt... It's one of the first times I've heard him claim responsibility for a loss. That's what a good coach should do... Even if it's not entirely his fault. That's how you avoid losing a locker room... Wish he would have fine more of that last season... But he's obviously learning how to be a better coach, and that's good... It's more than just X's and O's.
Agree! Just consider what would have happened if it was a Mike Leach team. He would have been calling out guys by name and challenging their girlfriends. I like this approach a lot more!

Really, that's what you took from my post?

It was the only thing worth taking from it.

Well it was directed at posters who are not superficial and can see deeper meaning, so I see now your take.

Actually I saw it as an apple to oranges comparison that was meaningless. Those have pretty much zero in common other than they lost some games.

Good teams have bad games. Apples to apples.
Bad games don't mean good teams can't win championships. Recall NDSU had two losses last year before the playoffs. Apples to apples.

Your flopping while trying to be funny, apples to oranges.

I see, you think the Denver Broncos and the Griz are the same caliber team at their respective levels. No wonder it made no sense.

Video hadn't been invented yet. I understand there are some petroglyphs along the Yellowstone River that depict Mr. Klever bowling over yellow and blue clad defenders. Just a rumor though.

I believe the motivation solution that would be easiest for everyone involved would be for the 26,000 strong in Wa-Griz to better replicate the mausoleum atmosphere at most other BSC venues.
