Griz Play Friday Night On ESPN2

There’s 0 chance this isn’t a season record for night games.

Utah Tech
Ferris St
Idaho
Sac State
Portland State
Delaware

Currently 6/12 games played this season were night kickoffs.

As of next week, the Griz will have played a majority of their games at night. Unreal.

Every game should be at 1900 or 2000... Every single one. That way, most people can watch AND get the damn yard work done in the early season AND get the damn grocery shopping done AND deal with everything else AND then still get the game to close out the night.

All the 1200 or 1300 times screw everything up in my opinion.

Hopefully I can figure out beforehand if it will also be on ESPN+, I don't have cable. Regular season they don't seem to show on both, but last night the ID game was also on ESPN+.

And for those guys that complain about Marty Mornhinweg, did you like the ESPN guys last night? They almost put me to sleep they were so boring. Did seem like ESPN did better camera work (considering conditions).

Games on ESPN2 are usually carried on ESPN+ as well which was the case with the Idaho game last night...

That has to be figured out for those of us that don't have cable... Subscribe to Sling for $20 or is it on ESPN+ also? I'll have to chat with them or wait until Friday to see if it shows up in the feed on plus.

The announcers last night were on Valium or something.

The camera work was fine.

Yes, the game will be streamed on ESPN+

Except for the fact that probably 40% travel from outside Missoula area, so night games are not optimal for those folks. Also, being a Friday night game many of those same people have to leave work early to travel. ESPN is garbage.

Besides the work part, I don't know what isn't optimal. Traveling from the game at 2230 or so isn't a big hassle.

I thought the guys last night were excellent and ESPN's camera work is better by about a million. JMO

Short week for the Griz / tough break given that they had the late game Saturday. But much worse for Furman, who will be traveling.

Having been to every home game for the past 35 years I will say last night was the first time I have been kinda miserable by halftime. Not that cold out but soaking wet. The real classic cold night games (like App State or even Coastal Carolina) were dry snow. It was a beautiful snow globe setting but I’m hoping Friday will be clear and dry

Very similar to the Cal Poly game last year. Now that we had a snow game I’m hoping it’s dry as well. The conditions really took away some of the speed we have on the field. I think it actually Contributed to the two big misses by Clifton with Bergen because he’s used to how far to lead Junior and it just wasn’t there with the snow. The d line and o line were struggling a bit at times to get the necessary traction and so did Eli. I want to see us have the ability to have our best game.

I have zero doubt that’s what impacted those overthrows. Now…as to how White dropped the sure fire TD pass right in his bread basket….that one is unexplainable…

Agree about the lackluster play call for the game...snoozefest, for sure! Moving forward, I recommend streaming the Riley/Greg call on the KGVO app and syncing it up with the TV broadcast. So much better...

Agreed but White has been playing unbelievable 2nd half of the year

That is a good idea, thanks.

He and Fontes have been absolute FIRE. Zero complaints from me on those two.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m kinda sick of it  what I wouldn’t give for a Saturday noon kick. Now the team get a short week of prep too. Wonder what that does to their schedule?

So does Furman and they get to travel. The only football next Friday, might open a few recruit eyeballs with a good performance.

The biggest recruiting impact this will have is through the portal. Portal opens tomorrow, good timing to have a Nationally televised game.

Riley is poor at announcing. He tends to take 3-4 topics and repeats them twenty times a game. Also that whisper tendency is annoying. He’s improved slightly this year but has long ways to go.
